1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Infinity Dress... Help on: June 17, 2010 06:10:42 PM
I have made several infinity dresses and it's really simple.

Basically this is how I pin it.

Take the skirt piece and flip it inside out

Take the folded waist piece and pin it to the inside of the skirt right sides together

now take the straps and pin those to the under side of the waist band (I take the pins out of the 3 layers of fabric and pop the same pin back in but now over 4 layers of fabric but too many pins never hurt anyone) Now as you are holding it and looking at your fabric layers you are looking at the inside of the skirt with a waistband sandwiched between the straps.

Check out www.405th.com
It's a site dedicated to making replica armor. Try looking around the forums or even post your question there. I find the people are really helpful on that site.

This page has some resources on it, including a link to another crafster post on the subject.
Hope that helped!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Please suggest a baby booty pattern :) on: June 17, 2010 02:35:01 PM
Hello there Crafsters.
I've been here a while but very rarely posted.

Next week my family and I are going to a funeral. I realized that I had no black dresses for myself or my two daughters (2 years and 3 months) so I made some matching outfits for us. The problem is I don't have any black shoes for the little baby.
I have tried a booty pattern in the past and thought I would end up just using the same one (I didn't like it very much though) but I thought I might ask the collective minds of this forum for some suggestions of patterns that they might have found online.

Thanks in advance!

I also want to know if this worked out for you. I tried making dish soap with a different recipe and it came out really crappy. It left a film on all the dishes and after some time it got hard in the bottle.

My mom used to make these all the time when I was a kid but my hubby has sensitive teeth so he does not like to bite into a frozen banana Sad

another way to prevent the pools of chocolate is to use a toothpick to dip the cakes and then let them drip until they harden.
These look yummy and might try it this year. I have all the stuff on hand....
