I won't lie... i felt like a total dorkus taking pictures of myself to post.
Thanks for looking!

I also have to add that I was pretending it wasn't 90 degrees outside and I wasn't wearing shorts and a tank under that wool coat. LOL!
22  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / right dress for my body size...and pattern. on: October 01, 2007 07:18:33 PM
Ok guys, I've never sewn a dress before but I have quite a few friends getting married around the first of the year and I want to make my dress that I'm going to wear to their weddings. I'm a size 20 and larger on top D cup and 50" hips. I'm trying to figure out a good "little black dress" (ha!) type of dress that'll work well. I'll throw a splash of color in but that was just so you got the idea.

Also, like I said, I've never sewn a dress before so it'd probably need to be as simple as possible.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much in advance!!
23  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / celiac sandwhich bread?? on: September 21, 2007 02:01:09 PM
Does anyone out there know of a good recipe for a gluten free sandwhich/white bread?

My best friend recently found out she has celiac disease and she's been really sad about the way her $4 loaf of bread just crumbles! She wants something moist like regular white bread... I wanted to help her out by finding a recipe and baking it for her as a suprise. I'll be a guinea pig first though. lol.
24  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Garment Bag on: September 20, 2007 10:13:27 PM
The traveling huband's birthday is drawing near and I thought it was time he had a new garment bag (He hearts them lol).

He's a heavy equipment operator so what better fabric than little back hos track hos and other dirt moving machines??

Sorry for my pics being kinda weird... my hallway lighting wasn't great at night...

25  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Husbands Trencher Quilt - Quite a few Images on: September 20, 2007 09:53:45 PM
So after procrastinating for months over making this, I thought there would be no better time to suprise my husband with his trencher quilt, than on his birthday in 2 weeks. I am my own worst critic I suppose and I'm not a huge fan of it, but I know he'll flip for it, so that makes me happy.

In the process:

with borders

There is something in every corner too. These are just two:

The tiny blocks are 2.5" X 2.5" and I got lazy and threw in some 6.5" X 6.5" ones as well. I had a rotten time with my lines matching up because I used mine and my husbands old jeans I had been saving. Note to anyone using old STRETCH jeans for quilting - DON'T. It was a nightmare.

26  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Last-Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts on: September 15, 2007 02:48:59 PM
has anyone picked up Last-Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts?? I just wondered what you thought. I thought it sounded cute, but haven't seen it in my bookstore and Amazon doesn't have any reviews yet. Thanks!!

28  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Some of my recent digital pages. on: August 15, 2007 05:04:38 PM
I'll do my best to give credit for the kits I've used but I used some papers and such from before I knew to put names on my folders. Basically I know that those I didn't give credit to I got off DigitalScrapbookPlace.com.

30  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / pretty quilt dog bed! on: April 27, 2007 02:43:25 PM
I'm so excited that I finished this! I don't think I made it quite big enough but I'm still pretty excited about it. I turned out to be about 30" square and I really wanted a solid piece of foam for the bed itself but alas, it is super hard to find a 30" square piece of foam!

The whole pillow

The mess that foam "chunks" make. P.S. if you ever use the foam chunks make your stuffing hole big enough you can fit the entire bag into then rip it...

Obligatory action shot with my Bassety goodness!
