1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Christmas Knitting Support Group on: September 17, 2007 10:39:25 PM
I'm feeling the pain, here! My Mum wants a shrug, my Nana wants a sweater, My little sister wants some fingerless mittens, my grandad wants a beanie and I have a small embroidered picture to do as well.

I think I'll try and make the sweaters for the knitting version on Nanowrimo in November....
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knitty.com Fall?? on: September 13, 2007 04:18:00 PM
This has to be one of the best Knitty issues EVER. So many cute things to make!

I'm loving Cherie Amour, because I love working with bulky weight wool and this sweater's not all shapeless and horrible.

Flower Power is freaking cute, as are the woodins.

People in my family are going to recieve foilage and henry as gifts. Cute, challeging but not too hard

AND I'm definatley making Urchin for myself....

AFTER I finish my two 1,500 words essays Tongue

Yup. An example of why I should not try to post anything before I have my cup of tea.

Knitty's fingerless gloves with embroidery (brain fart prevents me from remembering their name) for my boyfriend and anyone else who wants them.

Knitty's "Branching Out" for my Mum

The 'grantis' scarf from Rowan 40

A small embroidered picture for my grandparents (not knitting, but hey, it's still work Tongue )

That's gorgeous, and the colour suits you Smiley
6  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Beginner Garden Scarf? on: July 27, 2007 11:20:51 PM
This was my first crochet project, and instead of joing the flowers, I simply sewed 'em together. Wasn't very noticible, either.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: When is the new Vogue Knitting out? on: July 23, 2007 01:12:07 PM
I wonder if it will be more expensive? As I live in New Zealand I'd have thought bigger magazine=higher shipping=more cost, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm very excited though; love to see what the patterns are!

*sigh* With this and interweave knits, I'm probably going to be too broke to buy yarn!

I ADORE the Eunny Jang and Minimalist cardigans, as well as the fingerless mitts. Those are the ones I'd seriously consider making (as long as no steeks are involved *shudder*) But all the others are beautiful too. BIG improvement on the last issue, as well.
