Really nice job! I love the fabric and you did such a great job with the construction.

Just one note: I have been told not to keep magnets near my camera, because it can erase photos, but that could just be my Nikon.

What a transformation! I think you did a phenomenal job. As far as ways to add to the finish product I thought you could possibly layer translucent sheet music over the sides. I really love this piece though and it makes me wish I could revamp something of my own.

this ring is stunning. Really amazing piece. YOu have to look at all the pictures to even start to grasp the complexity of the design.

25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Bags of "vintage" 80s and 90s clothing for anyone... on: December 14, 2009 01:43:32 PM
So I think this may be under the wrong category, but here is how the story goes... Over the summer I purchased a 300 piece lot of what was supposed to be vintage clothing. It turned out to be bad 90s dresses ranging from denim full length to floral and tribal print all over pieces. The clothing is 90% NWT, but I quite honestly don't know what to do with all of this clothing that I can't sell.

If you love reconstruction and live near Chicago(and can pick all of it up) YOU can have it! I am donating it to Purple Heart if no one wants it, but it is a great lot for someone who has the time and passion for reconstruction. You have to promise you will show all of us your great projects though. Smiley PM or comment if you are interested or if you know where this should go.

Thanks so much for posting, I finally had time to come on tonight and my camera died. Literally RIP, and I need to go dig a grave now. I am so sad, because there is no saving the chewed up beaten thing. Sad
I loved doing this swap with tigerlilly and Wispr3d!

Hey, my name is spelled Alexzandra, too! Cool, I so rarely see it that way!

I love your wedding, I am trying to brainstorm my own unique plans! Yours is truly amazing!

Thank you one the sweet note! I have never met anyone born with the name Alexzandra spelled the same as mine! Awesome. Are you Eastern European?
28  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Zippered Handbag #2 (VERY Pic Heavy!) on: February 11, 2009 06:44:46 PM

This is actually what I did...I always use the tutorial by queenofdiy for my zippers. This one was just weird because it's a jacket zipper so it comes apart at the end, and it was just the perfect length where the hardware at the bottom got in the way and made the end kind of funky. I wasn't exactly sure how big the bag would turn out so now I know what length zipper to buy to prevent that!

That would explain that then! I think you did an AMAZING job, and you are really talented, I just thought that it was perfect minus the tiny tiny tiny bit of puckering.
29  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: THE GREAT SKULL SWAP R2 GALLERY on: February 11, 2009 05:36:33 PM
So I accidently posted in the old gallery, whooops!

Hello All...
My partner JustinKase is RAD and spoiled us rotten!
Here is what we got...
So the first item is this great aztec'y skull candy jar that is full of skull candy! YAY!

Skull tiara, which is soooo fun! And it blinks!

Skull melty bead thing which is awesome too.

Three magnets which are really great and are on the fridge already

Skull hair clip, I am going to wear it to on Weds.

He feels bad that I have no tattoo's so he got me fake skull tattoo's....where were these for my wedding?

Our favorite item, the item my husband stole is this AMAZING skull afghan.

The coolest item is the Breast cancer pin that he made that says, "Help Save my Treasured Chest"

He alos gave us a bunch of scents to try out which we are def. going to have to lay out to try this weekend.

I think you did a great job!

I don't know if you want my advise, and it might just be the pictures, but your zipper is "puckering" a bit. If you sew the zipper onto the fabric first and then attach the fabric w/ the zipper to the main part of the bag this problem will be eliminated.

Otherwise the bag is perfect, I am just super anal about zipper puckering.
