I think that your hips are not a problem , slit in the back may be not long enough. Besides that it is a lovely skirt I'm a big fan of that stile Grin. Good job.

574  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / chameleon embryo on: July 08, 2004 03:25:37 AM
Long long time ago my friend asked me to mack him a chameleon. It suppose to be a present for his 21 birthday. For 6 months I was looking for a Way to mack it  but I could newer achieve the suitable shape Angry.
I try sowing a puppet, beading,  wire bending and some of other things. Now I could write a book "ways how not to mack a chameleon".
I was so desperate that I wonted to mack a small box that doesn't open with "chameleon is inside" written on it but we all read "Little Prince"and that was not creative  enough Cry.
Finely I got IT Grin (you knew a good friend wen they wait that long for there present). That friend is gowning to England in  few of dyes and he will study biochemistry so I made chameleon embryo from modeling paste and closed it in small jar.Embryo has a simple shape so It was much easier.  Grin

I have a lot of earrings that no longer have pair they can be used in the place where you used your spider.

That is variation on your idea. I made two 40CM long  piece of boa using scrapes of different fabric and then I attached it to old knitted scarf.
579  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sewing problem - fabric bunching up! on: July 06, 2004 12:55:52 AM
I think that what you are talking about (it happened to me many times lol) is caused by the fact that lining fabric is usually lighten then outer fabric.
There are two ways to avoid that:
one) before sowing iron the seam in the way it should be, it will  smooth the wrinkles that always appear wile sawing.
two) stitched over outer fabric having lining on the bottom
