1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Some of my cards on: August 09, 2004 02:40:43 PM
Love them! Great idea for holiday cards!

I did a similar box for my brother: I got one of those wooden treasure boxes at a craft supply store and put a lock on it, so he could stash stuff. I did a collage on the outside (modge podged it) and put cool quotes from his favorite bands inside the lid and painted the rest of the inside. It was kind of busy and wild which is appropriate for him. Needless to say, he loved it and thought it was very personal.
3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Singer Sewing Machine Model 9034 on: August 09, 2004 09:27:51 AM
I found an ad for a brand new Singer 9034 for $100. I know nothing about sewing machines. Is this a good price? Is this a good model for beginners?
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Where to buy ready-made purses on: August 09, 2004 08:46:27 AM
I would like to decorate some purses by sewing ribbon, patches, etc. onto purses. I can't sew  (well enough to make my own purse) and so I am looking for a place to buy plain purses (preferably black). Any ideas?
5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Grosgrain Ribbon? on: August 09, 2004 07:24:48 AM

Really cute ribbon, lots of choices for the "jacquard (sp?)" type ribbon you are looking for... and great prices.

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Pony Tail Holders on: July 23, 2004 07:24:51 AM
I saw a covered ponytail holder at a store last week for $20! I thought I would go to the drugstore and buy a Goody one and cover it with my own ribbon, but I guess Goody doesn't make them anymore. I am looking for one like the following (but not as expensive!). The one at the store was 1.5" wide which would be great for grosgrain ribbon of that size. Anyone know where I could find them? Thanks!

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Cardboard Gift Boxes on: June 14, 2004 08:53:36 PM
Very weird question, I know.. but I am looking for round, heavy, glossy cardboard boxes. They are sometimes sold as nesting sets and are used for gifts. I have desperately being trying to find them (for a reasonable price of course), but have no luck  because I don't even know what they are called. I am looking for some that are about 4 inches diameter, but at this point I am not that picky. This is the type, but not the shape I want:

Cute colors would be a bonus! Can anyone help?
