1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / It's my birthday soon, help me build a library on: August 28, 2007 10:02:14 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm a knitter who's known how to knit since a child but I've only returned to it in the last couple of years.  I'm pretty confident and difficulty isn't an issue if I like a pattern.  I don't have any knitting reference books and with an impending birthday want to get some books to start my library.  What do you all recommend?  I'm interested in EZ's techniques, a good stitch reference, a great all-round sock book (how-to's, hints & tips and great patterns), sweater how-to (shaping, construction, design etc.).  Basically books that will get me to step away from patterns and on the road to designing my own garments.

Ok, fire away!!!
