2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Wonderfalls on: September 02, 2005 07:33:26 AM
Has anyone seen the show Wonderfalls? It was on briefly last year and stupidly by fox canceled and now its out on DVD. Well the main charater Jaye is always wearing something either crocheted or knitted. I was wondering if anyone had read about the actress knitting all those things or if people had  copied any of the designs. I love her scarf in the episode where her boyfriends wife is in the hosiptal and its light blue with flowers on it.
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / My mini capelet. on: March 20, 2005 03:04:46 PM
My Martha poncho came out so good that I wanted to crocet something else. So here is my second project. I cant read a darn pattern so my husband reads it to me and I do whatever he says. Camera phone pic so sorry about the image quality.

4  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / My kitty hat.. to flap or not to flap.... on: February 05, 2005 02:41:00 PM
My first completed project from a real live pattern (yippee) so  I didn't think I wanted flaps they didn't see like they were me... no I am reconsidering. So my question is to flap or not to flap.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / who wants to make me a kitty hat? on: January 31, 2005 03:07:52 PM
So I am a very new knitter (see can only do a scarf) and I have been patiently waiting for a year and a half to learn enough skill to make the dern cute kitty hat in the Stitch and Bitch book. Well in that time I haven't progressed much and while its still cold out I would like that hat and I don't have any knitter friends.

we can do a barter deal if someone would like....
I can make pretty earrings out of sterling silver or surgical steel if you have allergies
microscopeslide pins
and other strange little tid bits...
horrible picture of some of the ones I have made.

If people are only willing to do it for money let me know too. I am very low on funds at the moment but you never know.....

I have been homebound since last thursday due to this blizzard business. Today I thought I could go back to work and I was actually excited (arugh thats sad) and they sent me home when I got there! they closed it for the day an hour after I got there!!!!! ANYWAYS I have made birthday presents thru april, read three book and made two scarves. Since I only learned to crochet like 3 weeks ago and can't do anything beyond a straight line...... and at this point I have made myself about 5 scarves...... well munkie my stuffed monkey looked cold and I am the nut who made costumes for my stuffed animals for halloween....  Tongue
he can't decide if he wants fringe or not..... yay or ney?

If I made a longer one itd make a cute belt dont you think in another color of course.
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / winter hat with a ponytail help :( on: January 25, 2005 08:30:37 PM
So I like myself a ponytail now and then but come winter its hair down all the time. Winter hats and ponytails are just down right painful at least mine are my hair is too thick to pull it off...
then I came across this.
So I am not one of those people who says " oh now I want to copy it exactly so help me decifer it" because I can not really knit or crocet anything beyond a scarf and sewing is not my strong suit. Has anyone seen a cheaper version? 78 dollars is not in a library assiants budget! Or a crafty alternative?
much obliged

I would like suggestions on how to make it into a sign. I some how though felt on fabric a sign would make. but alas way to flimsy. Thanks
