I've heard Oxiclean is great for getting out stains.  But... I've never used it.

Super cute fabric!

I suggest using a medium interfacing on the stretchy materials, like t-shirts.

Have fun!  Quilting is addicting.  Smiley

I would suggest charm packs too.  It will allow you get the most fabric choices.  Most charm packs contain 42 different fabrics.

Most charm packs of quality fabric are $10 a piece.

I highly recommend Fat Quarter Shop, too!

I also shop online at Pink Chalk Fabrics, Burgundy Buttons, and Green Fairy Quilts

I love the solid colours and the modern designs of the blocks. I haven't used solids before but this is so inspiring in how great they can look

When I started quilting again about 4 years ago, I didn't even like solids.  Seemed too old fashioned.

In the past year or so, I've seen lots of solids being used in a very modern way.  I saw this photo on the LA Modern Quilt Guild flickr page and was in love... When I suggested we use that as our inspiration for a charity quilt, everyone in the guild was in!

And I'm always amazed at the creative work my guild friends can do.  Smiley
