Nilmerg - I hope they are not swimming across!

extras from Pogo......I love them!!!!
So glad you liked them, I saw you were interested in typography. Glad you approved of the word. Smiley

Oodelally - glad you liked yours too!!

Those cross stitch inchies are so cute. I kinda want to see a whole alphabet set of them! How long do they take you, Pogo?
My time quote is probably going to seem ridiculous to other crafters but probably an hour or more for each. I only re-started cross-stitching from when I was a kid last month though, so they went a bit slower than intended...for being so tiny.

Eamea - glad you liked the silver pen and check out that song, it's great!

And now - all my inchies are received with these extras from crazyalien8! She crafted up many of my favorite things: trees, birds and leaves! Thank you! [With your lack of spare time you should do a tutorial so I can learn how you get so much dimension into your inchies!]

Thank you again to all of my swap partners for a great swap!

Thanks so much crazyalien8.

And so my alphabet is complete, and again a sad end to real mail...

Thank you to all my wonderful partners!!

Today was Christmas for me too! I walked out the door and there were three boxes (one was craft supplies)!!!!!

Last night I received from Bookstorebabe -
We share a love for the comic Girl Genius and she complete outdid herself with this awesome Agatha ornament. She has amazing detail in her dress, goggles, and even little wrench. Love her!

She is currently guarding my "green" room, I told BSB, I'll have to move some electronics out there so she doesn't go stir crazy.

Next box I dove into was from Eukarya -
I was honored to receive this gorgeous ornament with Santa and gears on the side. I've been impressed with Eukarya's art for years and am so excited to own a piece! It went straight to my tree!

My last fantastic box contained this wonderful piece by Habitat-lady:
Again, I was very impressed by the amount of detail - she managed to fit an entire airship inside the glass ornament and then decorated the outsides with clay, wire and a few gears. The photos don't quite do it justice:

Thanks so much ladies! I have been truly spoiled in this swap!

Harvey - great photos! I love the ducklings too, nice action shot! That sculpture is great too!

sjconner - love your photos of the cows and windmill! So different from what I am used to seeing!

I received from LiveLongandCraft!
She sent this adorable frame covered with sequence and 27 tiny photos taken with Fuji's instant camera, shown for scale:

I like the photo's unique size and retro quality. Here are some of the cool pics from her area:

Thanks for swapping LiveLongandCraft!

10  Re: Head Start Art Journal Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Pogo on: October 12, 2010 06:20:18 PM
Hooray! My fantastic journal arrived!!
My handle appears on the binding and a lovely Hindu deity adorns the cover.
The inner cover has two envelopes, one was filled with whimsies (displayed) and one with an ATC: "Good people drink good beer. -Hunter S. Thompson".
The next page suggests an art project: "Take a walk, find a variety of neat leaves, and sketch them here."
Few other favorite pages - another art task to find old photos and make a story and great Dr. Suess image:
Lovely tree then an image with quote: "You cannot prevent the birds of sadness from passing over your head, but you can prevent them from nesting in your hair".

Page with song lyrics to a favorite song and my awesome extras: THREE pens (love them!!):

Ninja_Poo - thanks so much for this an awesome journal, I love how you captured my themes and all the decorated pages.
Wish we could have met and swapped over a good beer. Smiley
