I think that's incredibly beautiful. And now I kinda want to paint something like that on my walls.  Smiley

That is so cute I just might die. (Polkadots=my one true love. Along with buttons.)
337  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Red jumper, my first real project : ) on: August 07, 2007 11:29:27 PM
That is insanely cute. The shirt goes with it very well. (Also, I totally thought you meant it was a sweater. Major wtf, until I realised it must be a cultural thing.)
338  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Equestrian Blazer finished! on: March 20, 2007 11:46:03 AM
The colour is absolutely wonderful. Too bad about the armholes, though. (I like the neckhole-thingy as is, but each to their own, I guess. Cheesy)
339  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Red Sweater! on: February 26, 2007 10:36:11 AM
That is insanely gorgeous and now I really want one. In red. I don't even wear red, but that seems so pretty and cozy and lovely and eee. Now I just need to finish that pink sweater... (I don't wear pink either.)

Care to share how you worked the yoke/neck? That shape is really nice, and every time I mess with the neck shaping it turns out really, really strange. Cheesy

I finished mine quite a while ago. A month or so back, actually. It took me something around two days, and I was knitting quite slowly due to a wrist injury. (Magnificent pratfall while skating, nothing serious.)

I changed the rib to moss stitch, but that's it. The yarn I used was just a bit thinner than the one called for, I think, but it worked out perfectly anyway. I used 6 mm wooden straights, because they're my only 6 mm needles and I don't get along with circs anyway. I had no problem with stitches dropping from the needles, except when I moved the thing onto a circ to check the size. The yarn's a German handspun, I think it's called Naturwolle, that comes in all sorts of gorgeous colourways. The one I used  is called Mango. It's a slightly variegated orange-brown, and it started doing a strange self-striping thing here. I love it anyway. Used about 150 metres, or one and a half skeins.

Apparently I can't post pictures yet, what with this being my first post or comment or anything, but here's a link to a picture on Flickr.
