1  Re: I <3 Tea/Coffee/Cocoa Swap Round 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by JenBin on: February 24, 2008 07:07:14 AM
I'm glad you like it all!

And I LOVE my package!  You guys ready to be jealous?  Here ya go!

First I got some teas:

Then some coffee AND cocoa in one!  (Can't wait to try that!)

Margeetaik also sent some "Texas coffee" which is really good.  I didn't get a picture of that, though, because hubby (a born and bread Texan) had already confiscated it!

Now for the craft part!
She made some coasters, a journal with a VERY true statement, and some awesome little cards.

Then there's the bag.  She must have known how much I love tote bags!

and a close up of the coffee cup

And finally, my favorite piece of all, a beautiful coffee fairy!

It looks like it's a watercolor.  Isn't margeetaik a wonderful artist?

Thank you so much for being my partner!!!

I got my package today!

This is everything.  I didn't realize it, until Ila pointed it out on the cool bag (next pic) that my resolutions really were a mind/body/spirit thing.  The things she DIDN'T craft were some beautiful blue mohair, some soft yellow wool yarn, "Hope for each day" by Billy Graham, a cute magnet that says "I'm on a few diets because I can't get enough food on one.", A "grown-up" merit badge book, and some blue olympic fabric.

This is the exercise bag.  I collect angels, so this is REALLY cool!  There's also an exercise CD, but I haven't listened to it yet.

Yum, snacks!  And she even filled it with healthy stuff!  (You can't tell, but it says "Healthy Snacks Only")

And a water bottle -- with the reminder that I only need to fill it up twice!

This sign says "Music isn't just learning notes and playing them, you learn notes to play the music of your soul."  This will surely inspire me to continue to play my guitar each day!  She also made a container to hold my picks.

There was also a great "resolution handbook," which you can see in the main picture.  There are low-cal recipes, some exercise tips, a place for some inspirational thoughts/meditations/prayers...  geez, I think she put in everything she could think of and them some!

It's an awesome package!  Thank you so much!

This is the scrubby.  I didn't get a real good picture of it, either.

Received!  And I think I got the COOLEST package ever!  Cajunlover did her homework.  She took my themes (one being Celtic Christianity and one being God and Goddess studies) and then must have read my blogs and came up with this great combination of the Spiritual Mother in each of us.

Here are the packages, unopened:

A wall hanging of Mother Mary:

This "birdhouse" is cool.  Inside of it is a heart and there are two tarot cards (the Sun and the World) on the top.  I love it!

This picture will need a frame and will go somewhere in my office.

And this is my favorite.  The notebook will be great for journaling.  That's the High Priestess on the front.

But the "markers" are so awesome!  Have you ever seen anything so cool?

Thank you! Thank you!  Thank you!!  Cajunlover obviously did her homework.  I love it all!!!!

5  SOCKS! in Knitting: Completed Projects by JenBin on: October 24, 2007 01:50:13 PM
Finished a pair of socks this weekend. Thanks to Murphy's Law, I went from a romantic weekend with hubby and no kids to taking the dog to Pet Smart as the "hot date" activity.  Rather than raid hubby's stash of Hershey's Kisses or his ice cream supply (so not fair that he can eat all that!), I decided to finish this project. The pattern is called "Hearts" (hard to see in this picture, but the design is hearts). The yarn is "Socks that Rock" from Blue Moon Fiber Arts in the color "Mustang Sally." This is the first pair I've done for ME!

Ok, so I got my swap from Kelda today!   Grin  Be jealous!

Here's what they looked like BEFORE I ripped into them!

A very cute "idea jar" with 31 ideas.  (One for each day and an extra!) I pulled one out and it said "what's your character's favorite article of clothing?"  Hmm.....

Kelda must know all about lacking a muse...  So she sent me one!  I'm supposed to name this one after my favorite author.  Does "Sir Edgar Allen Christie" sound too pretentious?

A journal (and pencils!) to write those ideas.  (Very cool, by the way!)

A "do not open until Nov. 30" secret.  Dang!  I'm so not a patient person!

And what Kelda described as "a few starburst."  I'm wondering if I can hide these from my teenager....   Undecided

Very cool stuff!  Thanks, Kelda!

7  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by JenBin on: October 18, 2007 05:59:58 AM
I did this purse for a swap, but I really liked it.  Would have been better with a "prettier" bra,  but it's still cool.

Here's what the purse magnets looked like before.  Maybe that will help you glue the one back together.

I got my stuff today!  My partner did such a great job!  I received some wonderful additions to my "French Chef" kitchen.  Take a look!

Here's everything (pay no attention to the papers on the table!)

A close up of the book and the coasters:

and of the magnets:

Thanks again!

I have one.  I embroidered an apron with this design.

There was also a knit dishcloth and some recipes in there.  I'm just so glad you like it!  This was my first exchange!   Cheesy
