1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / NES Zelda Quilt Block on: March 15, 2008 08:38:51 PM

My boyfriend loves old nintendo games and I decided that Link would be my next quilting project. This is just the completed block, I plan on doing a border to make it like a lap quilt. But, I think he turned out pretty cute. As always your thoughts/comments are welcome Smiley
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Remote control organizer on: February 19, 2008 08:54:39 AM

I was going crazy always trying to find the remote for the TV, tuner, play station or whatever else we have a bizallion remotes for. So, I made this super easy remote organizer to solve my problems. It has individualized pockets for each remote. If you are interested in making one a full tutorial is on my blog, diynamite.com.

Thanks for looking! Comments, as always, are welcome.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Scoody on: January 20, 2008 07:25:11 PM

I know that there are about a million tuts out there for these scoodies, but I just made one and really like it. It's a good winter craft project and doesn't take that long.

I don't know if it is okay to link to another tut site (competition....eeee) but I wrote a full tut with photos on Cutoutandkeep here http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/scoody if you want to see how I made the scoody. Plus, we all are friends here and read all great crafting sites, right?

Any comments are much loved! Smiley

4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Crochet Strawberry shortcake on: January 20, 2008 07:19:31 PM

I made this for a fellow craftster and I think it turned out pretty cute. I made up the pattern on my own just by looking at lots of pictures of strawberry shortcake Smiley

Comments are always welcome!!
5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / First quilt-Disappearing 9 patch on: January 06, 2008 07:12:43 PM
For Christmas this year I decided to make my mom a quilt. Nevermind that I had never done this before, work 50 hours a week and had about a billion other presents to finish/start, no small feat for a craftster Smiley So, here it is. Its not perfect and in the end I
"tied" it off by doing zig zag stitches (I read about it somewhere, not sure if I like it) so it looks a little lumpier than I wanted. But, I am pretty proud of it. I like the colors and it is very soft and warm. My mom loves it and I was a little sad to give it up. I suppose I must start on my next one soon Smiley Any comments are always much appreciated!

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help on Crochet Vader Helmet: Having problems getting in touch with my dark side on: November 24, 2007 09:12:14 PM
Some background to this post. I am trying to get enough Threadless Shirts to make a quilt a lot like this one https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=199138.0ladykat did and need fellow threadless-goers to donate some shirts. As an incentive I told people I would make them whatever they wanted from crafting since I am always up for a good challenge. One guy asked me (semi-jokingly) to crochet him a Darth Vader Helmet and I was like yeah no problem, I can do it. I looked online and found onehttp://www.boingboing.net/2007/08/13/draft-vader-crochet-.html example that was sort of helpful but I didn't want to do beer cans in the crochet helmet. This is what I came up with:

And everyone keeps saying, hey what a cool ninja mask. Now, I know that ninjas are very hip right now but that wasn't my assignment and I want to get it right. Any ideas how I can make it look more vader-y without scrapping the whole thing?

Any suggestions would be sooo helpful! Thanks so much.  Grin

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Ornaments on: November 18, 2007 07:34:10 PM
I made these two ornaments last year and they were super easy and fun to make. Plus, I think that there are a lot of different things you can do with them. For a full tutorial you can look at my blog diynamite.com. Comments and love are always appreciated. :
