2  NES Zelda Quilt Block in Quilting: Completed Projects by CaroDIYnamite on: March 15, 2008 08:38:51 PM

My boyfriend loves old nintendo games and I decided that Link would be my next quilting project. This is just the completed block, I plan on doing a border to make it like a lap quilt. But, I think he turned out pretty cute. As always your thoughts/comments are welcome Smiley

3  Remote control organizer in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by CaroDIYnamite on: February 19, 2008 08:54:39 AM

I was going crazy always trying to find the remote for the TV, tuner, play station or whatever else we have a bizallion remotes for. So, I made this super easy remote organizer to solve my problems. It has individualized pockets for each remote. If you are interested in making one a full tutorial is on my blog, diynamite.com.

Thanks for looking! Comments, as always, are welcome.

4  Scoody in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by CaroDIYnamite on: January 20, 2008 07:25:11 PM

I know that there are about a million tuts out there for these scoodies, but I just made one and really like it. It's a good winter craft project and doesn't take that long.

I don't know if it is okay to link to another tut site (competition....eeee) but I wrote a full tut with photos on Cutoutandkeep here http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/scoody if you want to see how I made the scoody. Plus, we all are friends here and read all great crafting sites, right?

Any comments are much loved! Smiley

I made this for a fellow craftster and I think it turned out pretty cute. I made up the pattern on my own just by looking at lots of pictures of strawberry shortcake Smiley

Comments are always welcome!!

6  First quilt-Disappearing 9 patch in Quilting: Completed Projects by CaroDIYnamite on: January 06, 2008 07:12:43 PM
For Christmas this year I decided to make my mom a quilt. Nevermind that I had never done this before, work 50 hours a week and had about a billion other presents to finish/start, no small feat for a craftster Smiley So, here it is. Its not perfect and in the end I
"tied" it off by doing zig zag stitches (I read about it somewhere, not sure if I like it) so it looks a little lumpier than I wanted. But, I am pretty proud of it. I like the colors and it is very soft and warm. My mom loves it and I was a little sad to give it up. I suppose I must start on my next one soon Smiley Any comments are always much appreciated!

7  Re: Help on Crochet Vader Helmet: Having problems getting in touch with my dark side in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by CaroDIYnamite on: November 25, 2007 06:02:17 PM
Okay, here it is with some changes. I don't think I can put too much more time into it but I think it turned out much better and more like the vader helmet I was going for. I added mesh, the breathing mask and some cut pieces of plastic to make it look more helmet-y. I tried crocheting the plastic but didn't really have the patience for it. Thanks for your advice, you really inspired me to not half way do it Smiley

This is my first attempt to make a real skirt and by real I mean one that has a zipper in it. I drafted the design myself but it was really simple and easy to make. Check out my blog for a tutorial to come soon diynamite.com
