31  Re: Fiber Friday 2/2/07 in Spinning: Completed Projects by Snowberrylime on: February 02, 2007 05:35:24 PM
Today was my birthday, that's why I'm a little late Smiley

My main job this week was this enchanted forest yarn:
That's 200g or 373m of Falkland wool, hand dyed and all spun on a spindle!

And then I made a yarn called Antique corset out of this stuff:

and here's the yarn (BFL):
It looks much more impressive in real life Cheesy

This is my safari yarn:

Other than that I dyed a lot of roving:

Wow, gorgeous yarns once again! I especially love the one in the snow!
I've done more knitting than anything else this week, but here are some I didn't have pictures of yet last time:

This one is called Jazz, 72g of Black alpaca and white alpaca blended with some bamboo - gives it a great lustre.

The next one is called snowflake and is the thinnest yarn I've spun so far (but still quite chunky, lol). It measures about 124m of 2ply and is 90g.

The last one isn't new, but I took a new picture which does it much more justice (It's my favourite yarn so far):

yay, my first ever fibre friday! Here are some skeins I have spun so far:

And here is some alpaca I've done this week:

I've got some more black and white alpaca with bamboo, a really wild and messy 'safari' yarn and just off the wheel some white alpaca with bamboo. If it's ok I'll add some pics of these later on Smiley
I hope the images work...

34  Lots of sweet shoulder and tote bags (and a knitting needle roll)! Image heavy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Snowberrylime on: December 11, 2006 11:02:40 AM
I have been sewing different kinds of bags for quite some time now, but only just joined craftster - so I thought to introduce myself I could just show some of my favourite bags I've made so far. Cheesy

This is a simple tote bag made from one of my favourite really bright fabrics:

This is another tote bag made from a really nice green corduroy, featuring an apple application:

My favourite little purse:

This bag took me forever, it is made from recycled sail and of course my own design

My favourite small shoulder or messenger bag:

And just yesterday I have sewn my very first knitting needle roll!

Well, now you know a little bit more about me and my kind of style, and I'll just hope that these pictures will show up! Smiley
