11  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Crazy whack baby stuff. on: October 12, 2005 09:08:27 PM
My friend is unexpectedly pregnant, and I'm soo excited for her.

That said, I need baby gift ideas. She doesn't know what it will be yet, and isn't sure if she wants to know. She's only about 7 weeks along, so I have lots of time....

Anyways, she's not the type that likes traditional "goo goo ga ga" baby stuff. We want funky, cute, out of the ordinary stuff. Humorous stuff. etc. Anything.

I know I've seen a few things on here, to give you an example of something I'm looking for...this was cute. I saw a onesie with "I might barf" stenciled on it.

stuff like that...sooo If you guys have any new ideas, or have seen really cute stuff on the boards, I'd love to hear about it/see it.

Thanks soo much!
12  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Fantasy Hairystyles and the like. on: September 07, 2005 09:57:44 AM
I'm going to beauty school for hairstyling and next week we are having a hairstyle competition.

Does anyone know of any good sites with outrageously awesome hairystyles? I'm looking for some inspiration.

I'm thinking I may go the "fantasy" route, but that's not set in stone, so anything will do.

Thanks so very much!!!
13  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Father's Day / Witty Shirt Ideas on: June 15, 2005 07:17:35 PM
I wanted to maybe stencil a shirt for my dad for fathers day......He's into computers, and hiking, and um.....those are his biggest hobbies I spose. Does anyone have any witty sayings, or cute things I could put on a t-shirt for him? Any help would be sooo appreciated. Let's post our ideas!
14  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Anniversary Gift/celebration on: February 22, 2005 04:29:43 PM
I have a friend that has been going out with her boyfriend for 6 months, and they didn't get to do anything on their anniversary, but she really wants to surprise him with something neato.  It can be either a gift, or taking him somewhere, or doing something for him. Not TOO big, it's only been 6 months, but something that he will appreciate.

He likes
*The bands Queen, radiohead, and incubus....
*He's an artist, and he loves Salvador Dali
*He plays the bass in a rock band
*He's a hardcore republican
*He likes to write music

I've gotten a lot better and am currently working in charcoal. I'll try to post some more recent things soon. Any and ALL feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking Smiley

16  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Sunglasses! on: February 02, 2005 03:34:03 PM
I need a stencil of sunglasses, preferably "movie star-ish" looking, if anyone has one, or can point me in the right direction, that would be great!
17  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Birthday Gift on: February 02, 2005 12:11:27 PM
Ok so I have a friend who's birthday is coming up, and she's celebrating it on Friday. She crochets (she's the one who taught me) So I was thinking about making her a crochet hook holder, and maybe a matching tote to hold a current project in........She's very girly and.....lets see, she loves theater, one of her biggest dreams is to walk down the red carpet. So maybe a movie star in a box thing? What could I include?Huh I'm stumped. If you guys have any other ideas, even if they dont pertain to what I have mentioned, I'd love to hear em! Thanks in advance.
18  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Seed Stitch beanie on: January 23, 2005 03:14:37 PM
Hey guys, I'm looking for a pattern for a seed stitch beanie, like the one shown here http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/images/us/local/products/productsall/p105031c.jpg Plain, basic, simple, you get the idea. I made a seed stitch scarf for a friend and told her I'd make here a matching hat, I tried to convert a regular stockinette st pattern to seed stitch, but it didn't work for me, and my brain was hurting Smiley....so if anyone knows of a pattern, I would appreciate it SOO much if you would share! Thanks!
19  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Homespun Scarf, ideas? on: January 15, 2005 10:04:34 PM
Ok, So I gave a few friends the first half of their Christmas present on time, and told that I would knit or crochet them each a scarf and hat set. (which I am currently working on...a little late, yeah)

One of my friends knows how to knit, so I thought I'd crochet on for her, she wanted the colors to be coral and brown and she just told me it better be "totally emo".

I went to buy the yarn, and the only kind that had those colors, was homespun...sooo my question is, does anyone know of any cool patterns that I could use, besides the regular ol sc, or dc scarf.......something unique looking, that will look good with homespun, and that I can use 2 colors on.....I contemplated doing this diamond scarf... https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=17483.0 but can't decide if it will look cool with the homespun.....any suggestions/ideas?
20  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Basic Hat Pattern.....? on: January 12, 2005 09:07:48 PM
Hey guys. I have been looking for a plain hat in stockinette, knitted on preferable size 6 or smaller needls, for a really nice tight knit. Strangely, you'd think it would be easy to find, maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but does anyone know of any good patterns for something like this? Or do you have one of your own you might be willing to share? Anyways, any help would be GREATLY appreciated, I dont really have time to do a whole trial and error, I already spent a week making a hat, and it turned out great, but WAYYYY too small, because I didn't use a pattern. I need something I know will work (I'm working on late Christmas presents, so yeah...) Thanks everyone so much!
