3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / question about knit 2 purl 2 ribbing on: April 04, 2006 04:46:43 PM
ok... knit 2 purl 2 ribbing....

i know your supposed to just alternate, knit 2 stitches, purl 2 stitches, and so on... but once i finish a row, i dont know how to begin the next

say i begin the row with 2 knits and i end it on 2 knits, once i do the last 2 knits on the row what do i do next, 2 purls or 2 knits???

thanks Smiley Smiley

This must be really confusing because i dont even know what term is used to describe what im looking for... but pretty much this is what i want to do:

i bought this weird thread called "thick n' thin" and its pretty self explanatory. i want to knit a scarf but you see ive never knitted anything before. ive practised the 'basic beginners' knit... but this is my first actual project. could anyone suggest a good knit pattern for this kind of thread? thank yooouuu

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / casting on.... i need help.. please on: November 19, 2005 05:43:07 PM
i can do the cast on process up until step 9... where it says "insert point of right needle, from front to back, into stitch just made." the stitch i just made is a little more complicated than the loop knot... theres more than one loop of yarn there... theres like 3. so i dont know where exactly to stick it.

i used this website: http://www.learntoknit.com/instructions_kn.php3
