11  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Disney Christmas Items (Image heavy) on: December 28, 2008 09:28:59 PM
I was in the "We Wish You a Mickey Christmas" swap and made some fun items that I wanted to share:

"Quilted" Stocking (This is the first time trying something like quilting, and my first time making a stocking):

Detail of the stocking front:

These are Mickey Mouse Glove ornaments.  I made one for my swap buddy.  My Mom saw it and wanted one, and then my sister saw it and wanted one, and then my brother saw it and wanted one.  Basically I made one of these for everyone  Grin

12  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Golf towel and a Scarf on: December 28, 2008 09:15:05 PM
These were presents for my parents for Christmas:

Golf towel for my Dad:

Ribbed scarf for my Mom:
13  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Flower and Coffee Cup on: December 28, 2008 01:34:33 PM
I made these for my future mother-in-law's birthday.  The boyfriend and I always get her flowers, so this time I decided to make her a flower that didn't die, and some coffee to go with it (She drinks coffee every day)

Flower front and side:
Close up of flower face:

The flower was made with no pattern  Grin

And the coffee cup:

Pattern is from the book Amigurumi World
14  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Yoda! on: December 28, 2008 01:17:22 PM
I made this Yoda for my brother for Christmas-

I didn't use a pattern, I just kinda made it up as I went along while looking at pictures of how others crocheted Yoda.  I love how it turned out and my brother was happy to get it  Smiley
15  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Alternative to a Dog Sweater? on: November 28, 2008 08:58:38 PM
I was asked to knit a dog sweater for my friend because her dog keeps finding a way to get out of the store bought sweaters.  So, I knitted her a dog sweater that was looking promising at first for staying on, but today the dog managed to get out of it.  I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for alternatives to dog sweaters?  Thanks!
16  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Candy Corn Garland on: November 05, 2008 07:28:14 PM
I made some candy corn garland!  I'm so happy with the way it turned out.

The candy corn is crocheted, and everything except for the pom-poms are made from the same 3 pieces of yarn, and the pattern for everything was made up by me!

In progress picture, you can kinda see the 3 pieces of yarn that was used (Sorry about the background being weird, I took the picture with the garland on printed paper   Shocked)

17  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / World of Knitted Toys: Rhino help! on: October 20, 2008 11:45:31 PM
I'm using the World of Knitted Toys book by Kath Dalmeny and I just finished knitting all the parts to make the rhinoceros.  The instructions on putting those parts together make no sense to me, so I was wondering if anyone has made this rhino before or if anyone can give me and tips on putting it together/finding a place where I can get help for this pattern.

18  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / I taught myself how to crochet! on: October 08, 2008 11:36:05 PM
It was a rainy weekend, so I got out my Happy Hooker and Amigurumi World books and taught myself how to crochet.  Here's my projects so far:

*Coffee Cup*

Now I'm working on an owl for the boyfriend Smiley
19  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Christmas Ornament Swap? on: September 17, 2008 04:08:22 PM
I think a Christmas ornament swap would be fun.  Feel free to use this idea (I don't want to host any swaps at this time).  It can basically be like an ornament swap that like a ladies group would do, but this one would be crafty  Smiley
20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitted Clutch on: September 11, 2008 11:48:04 PM
