Hi Grrrls Smiley

I thought you all might appreciate this. My grandmother recently gave me this antique sewing machine (a singer!), It is completely non-electrical, and it was made in 1914!
Anyway, here it is!

14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Revamped -Jimi Hendrix Experience- Purse on: October 11, 2007 04:54:42 PM
I had this plain purse so i sewed a Hendrix patch on the front. I also added that little star button to the side. It's glow in the dark, and i poked the holes myself to make it a button. Smiley

16  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Patchwork backpack on: August 25, 2007 08:57:28 PM
I just finished this patchwork backback and i'm really liking it. I had an old backpack that i wasn't going to use anymore, so i sewed patches over it. The fabrics i used were a blue silk sari fabric, black and white floral fabric, purple velvet, black cotton, and a black and white polka dot fabric. And then i sewed the little bow at the side. It was a lot of work, i counted approx. 70 handsewn patches.Shocked. This was my first bag.

Bow Detail:

I worked so long and hard on this! Smiley

17  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / stars :) on: June 30, 2007 12:30:41 PM

I made this shirt for Calvin Johnson, because I'm going to his concert tonight. Hopefully, I'm not too scared to give it to him. It was my first transfer, and i really liked the way that it turned out. I also hand dyed it, but i wasn't sure if i should put this in the dying board or transfer board. So here it is:

This is the transfer image:

I hope he likes it Smiley
