2  Re: JIMMY BUFFETT!!!! in The Swap Gallery by cookiemaker on: June 12, 2008 01:47:25 PM
Ya'll better get prepared to wish you were me... cause, oh my GOD, KarenLouiseM!! I get home from work and there's this humongous box on my porch! I couldn't believe it was for this swap!

She spoiled the hell out of me, ya'll. Stuff kept coming out of the box left and right. I feel like I need to send you a boatload more! Here's everything together:

Purse #1. The crystaled margarita=awesome!

Cups, wine glass charms, and a Virgin Jimmy candle! This is so cute, if I can wrangle my fiance's pro camera away I'll take a good close pic!

A sign for my kitchen and... a record clock!! And it's already set to eastern time, aw!

One of KarenLouiseM's amazing record purses! I was secretly hoping I would get one and I did!

Two luau plates, drink umbrellas, and lime-cube trays! Aren't these adorable? I bet they'd taste extra good in margaritas on the rocks, yes?

Shell necklaces, some charm bracelets, and the most amazing, and long charm necklace evarrrr! I tried to take a good close up ,but alas, when I get the good camera again, expect closeups.

Record notebooks!! That match the purse!! And a magnet, and a window cling that says, "I am the woman to blame" !

I especially LOVE the windchime, it's so detailed! It's better than a dollhouse, it's a bar!!  This is beyond words, ya'll. It's just so pretty, and it definitely will NOT go outside! It's so beautiful that I am going to go to the hardware store tonight to get a hook and chain to hang it from the ceiling inside!

See the shark on the side? I love that part! And the fire extinguisher! Ahhh I keep looking at it, even as I'm trying to type!

Seriously though, this is just way over and beyond, I am so speechless and amazed. Thank you, gracias, and merci beaucoup!

My partner, lindseycore, hit it and quit it with this swap! I received today and it's AWESOME!

And wow the photo upload options changed, let's see how this works...

So prettily wrapped!

Special request: a tissue holder!

Sign for my new bathroom (aka a Not Yours sign to my fiance!)

Cute pincushion! My name is on the other side.

Looks like a business card holder

Crochet hook roll woohoo!! I am going to take this to work with me and transfer all my hooks over, I love it!

Check out the applique details!

Thank you SO MUCH lindseycore!! I love everything so much! I got the last of the materials for yours today! (: And this way my first mail at my new address, which makes it extra exciting too!

5  Re: Spring Cleaning Fill A Box Round 7 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by cookiemaker on: April 03, 2008 05:05:34 PM
I received from michelleames today!! I kept reaching in the box and more stuff kept coming out!!

Whole shebang

Some fabric scraps

Office supply type things, cool stuff includes magnets, cork tiles, watercolor pencils!

Pearl garland type things. I can see these going around a mirror maybe somehow, like draping them around for a Breakfast at Tiffany's-esque effect.

Pipe cleaners, wires (woohoo), those clear stone doodads, a pencil case type pouch

Plastic canvas!! I haven't played with this stuff since elementary school! Luckily I have a yarn needle, and some yarn! I'm going to be on this stuff tonight!!

Not pictured, some scrapbooking paper, a little template to make tiny envelopes. They didn't photograph well enough to post.

Thank you so much michelleames! I love the goodies, it's definitely sparking my imagination for new stuff!

6  Re: Decorate My House Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by cookiemaker on: March 25, 2008 01:59:39 PM
I received today from PhoenixFireDesigns! Look at it all!

Oooh everything all together on the bedspread.

A *beaded* planter! I'm going to have to line the inside so it doesn't get dirty from plant dirt!

A hand painted box with decoupaged coasters inside! How did you know that my current "coaster" consists if duct tape folded over itself and is very ugly? No more though with these beautiful babies!

Close up of the awesomely matching box.

There are no way to make these look as amazing as they are in person. When I opened them I was like, "Oh my God I have ART! Real, hang on the wall art!" The white blobs are flash distortions, as you probably are aware.

My large item: an utensil windchime! YAY! I didn't get as good a pic as I wanted since my loser roomate is sleeping in the middle of the day, so I didn't want to jingle it around too much. It makes the prettiest sounds though! YAY!

Thank you sooo much PhoenixFireDesigns, I LOVE IT all so much!!

WOO I'M IN! These are the wares I have to offer that I've dug up so far, can be adjusted based on my partner's requests!

Everything together

Some of the buttons

Bigger chunks of fabric

I also have a bunch of scraps from cutting out clothing pieces, if my partner would like those instead of yarn or whatever. It's pretty variable, but I've got this so far overflowing out of the shoebox it's all in right now!

Here are my pics!

This a view of my room as you enter the door.

Dresser, part of closet door, bag collection, and the top of the box at the bottom is full is yarn and WIPs!

Windows, my chair which is usually covered in clothes, and George W. Bush. I made the curtains out of sheets, but accidentally cut them too short, but it turned out okay, cause now the cat can't climb them.

This is my desk area, also covered in WIPs. As you can see by the Eiffel tower print, I love love love Parisian influences! Although the bright colors I also love kind of make the French theme not so apparent...

Bed. The long white thing to the right is my graduation countdown chain! (But shh don't tell it only goes up to about 40 days, I haven't finished it yet).

Hope this helps, phoenixfiredesigns!

10  My shiny pink cupcake! in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by cookiemaker on: February 06, 2008 07:35:31 PM
This is my first wearable ever, I'm so excited! I put it on to try it, and I haven't taken it off since! I made it out of Bernat Baby Softee in a color that can only be described as HOT pink. without further ado:

Best shot I could get of it by myself

Top half detail

Bottom half detail

I worked the 40 1/2 inch bust pattern. Since a lot of you Craftsters were saying that the gauge made it too small, I worked it a little bigger than I needed. Next time I might go for the next bust size down. It worked up so easily, although I was a little worried about easing in the sleeves. It worked really well though, and looks lovely with a camisole (and especially a contrasting color like black) underneath. I think I'm going to wear this to class on Valentine's Day since it's so beautiful!
