2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Help to decorate a hall.....and centrepieces. on: January 25, 2007 11:12:41 PM
Ok so i have booked our reception hall and it has the most beautiful view but it is very plain. i need some suggestions on how to decorate it. we only have a day (the day before) to do it so it can't be anything too huge and we live 10 hours away so it has to be transportable.
I know i don't make it easy for you!
I bought about 15 meters of chiffon form spotlight to make 'swags' coming down from the roof, and i thought maybe i could hang some butterfies off some fishing line (we are incorperating butterflies in our theme, sort of A Midsummers night dream meets alice in wonderland) But that is as far as i have gotten.
Also i need some help with our centrepieces. My mother is a florist so we are using fresh flowers i just haven't been able to find any picture  eg. anywhere!
Thanks is advance!! Smiley
3  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Bridesmaids shoes and i need help!! on: January 02, 2007 04:14:08 PM
I bought really cute shoes for my bridesmaids,
they are very plain though and i have never done anything with shoes so i need HELP!!
They sort of look like this, well this was the closest pic i could find, but they are satin sheen and are the baby colour light purple(2pair) and light yellow (2pair). They only have 3 straps on the bottom and they are separated when you put them on by like 2cm between each strap.

So my wedding theme is a shabby chic tea party, everything is pink, roses, lace and pearls.
So something lacy would be lovely i just cant think of anything and any ideas would be fantastic.

Oh and i forgot to say, my bridesmaids dresses are a funny forest/pistachio green  are only to their knees with a pink chiffon underlay and a pink bow at 2 of their waists and underneat the bust of the other 2, (they will be fairly pregnant) so they really need to be pretty on their own, and don't need to exactly match the dress.
Even 4 slightly different ones would be nice......I just really need help !!!
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / My Town My country Swap on: November 25, 2006 04:34:29 PM
What about a swap about where we live?
For Eg.  i am in australia in a coal mining town
So my package would be about what is unique to my area/country and what i love about it.....
I know we can get Australiana themed fabrics and all sorts of stuff that is everyday to us but not to someone else.
I don't know if it has been done before but some of the cultural things i have been looking at are so fantastic it would be great to be able to share it with peope from other areas!
