51  Marvin the (mini) Hedgehog in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by thedreamer on: July 29, 2009 10:46:27 AM
This is Marvin the (mini) hedgehog.  Marvin is a quiet guy, and his greatest love in life are books.

Of course, such a little guy often has trouble opening the huge, heavy books we have around the place, so he's content to just sit on the bookshelf and peer over your shoulder to read.

He's often seen carrying around his own little book with him, bookmark and all...because honestly, what's a hedgehog gotta do to keep himself entertained?  Otherwise, he's seen reading with his mommy hedgehog, or just daydreaming on plants...

Just make sure never to call him small when he's around...he IS, after all, at least as big as a lego brick, which is a whopping 5 cm long!

52  Re: Newbie Swap Gallery Round 11 in The Swap Gallery by thedreamer on: July 29, 2009 10:28:08 AM
Yay!  I'm glad you like everything, Lindsay!  I actually saw whimsy jars somewhere in your profile, then I found pincushion whimsy jars....and somehow I ended up with an octopus on a jar, haha.  My brother had actually threatened to steal the octopus, so I had made him another one....here's the pics I took of the two of them:

But here's something even more exciting- I got my swap package yesterday too! Cheesy  And girl, you have some mad skills.  Excuse all the pictures...as you can tell, I got a tad excited...

First I find this in my mailbox...

Which unwrapped to this:

First item was this cool book she had made- with different designs on each side!:

The second item I unraveled was another awesome book with a beautiful cover (you must've figured I really, really love books...and I do!):

The third item was inspired by my wists...and I love it!  I'm going to use it in place of another old wallet I had, which was black, ugly and boring.  This is so much cuter:

And it's ingenious how you thought of adding another pocket for bills...that's exactly what I needed.

And the forth item, I have to say, is my favourite and the one she probably spent the most time on...she hand painted me a planner! The covers are absolutely beautiful, and you're right- this was just what I needed for uni.  And don't worry about the holidays, I can just write them in  Cheesy

The pages inside are awesome too...

She also sent a bunch of pretty stationery, which is awesome:

And a pic of the whole lot!:

lindsayrose, thank you so much!  I love, love, love everything you sent me!  I think you got me addicted to swapping...on here and swapbot Tongue
