I just finished these! I'm so happy with the way they turned out. I used Chardonnay glasses, White unscented taper candles and good 'ol Crayola Crayons.

Take a peak....

As always I'm open to questions and comments...

Thanks for looking!

2  boring lawn chairs.. in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by hyspirit on: June 19, 2008 06:17:47 PM
So I bought these lawn chairs from a garage sale, they were 2 dollars a piece, I couldn't pass them up, I spent a whole 4 dollars. The only problem was that they were kind of hard, so I went to another garage sale and bought a kids paint smock, for a quarter.  When I got it all home I went to make some pillows to soften up the chairs and the smock didn't cover the whole chair, so I went to Joann Fabrics and got a yard of orange fabric and the rest is history...

This is the chair before, boring and hard...

This is the finished project....

I want to add a fabric covered button to the orange, The pillows are tied on so I can bring them in when it rains.

and a close up of the flower pattern....

4  my not so new desk thing.... in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by hyspirit on: September 07, 2007 07:29:40 PM
So I have this desk/table thing in my room and it has taken quite a beating. It was warped and I had a post-it note on it with a phone number and it had gotten wet and the number was stained onto the table, so I sanded it and repainted it with a high gloss which I was kind of if-y on, then I found more black paint and painted on a picture and this is how it turned out.... I'm super pleased with it.

this is a close up of the painting on it.

this is what it looked like before I sanded it and all of that good junk... Kinda nasty, I know.

I'm super happy with the way it turned out..

Thanks for looking!! Smiley

6  Dinosaur wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by hyspirit on: August 25, 2007 04:10:38 PM
I made this here wallet using this tutorial,https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=187229.0 which is amazing! I suggest everyone checks it out!

I love this material, and I couldn't find a purse that I found fitting....so here is my super cool dinosaur wallet..

this is the front, I used a snap but the stitching around the snap is super noticeable and I don't like it so I might redo it and use white thread.

this is the opening... I like the dinosaur playing baseball!

and here is the back... I also like this dinosaur!

thanks for checking it out!!

8  my very first quilt! in Quilting: Completed Projects by hyspirit on: August 23, 2007 10:51:31 AM
I wanted to make something special for my boyfriends grandmother. She is such a sweet lady and she had given me a bunch of her old material some of which very large, 17 yards to be exact.  SO I came to the conclusion that I would make her a quilt. The quilt itself is a bit larger then a full sized bed..

this is my very first quilt and I got the pattern and inspiration from  here https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=183628.msg1914207;topicseen#msg1914207

so without ado here the pics are.

this is the whole thing, I apologize for the wrinkles, I didn't have anyone to hold it up for me.

close up of the back, I didn't know how to do the corners so I just improved. and yes, it is silk around it for binding

this is a close up of the light blue material the color is a bit off but you get the idea

And last but not least this is a close up of the dark blue pattern

like I have said before this is my first quilt and I really like the way it turned out, although some of the stitches are a bit wonky..
