2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / USPS Update Price List and Handy Links on: July 22, 2019 08:50:45 PM
I might be the last one to know, but i thought i'd share just in case.

USPS has a PDF Price Lists that list literally every domestic and international shipping price you can imagine. This is the updated on from June 2019. I keep this handy on my phone's home page for all those times I need to get a quick idea of what something might cost to ship.

USPS Price List

If you need to figure out what zone someone is in use this USPS Zone Calculator. Just click 'Get Zone for ZIP Code Pair' enter in your zip code and their zip code, and BOOM that's what zone you are sending to.

Also i know the USPS REGIONAL RATE boxes have been out for a while, but i never really looked at what they are for until this week.

From what i understand... it is a regional flat rate box, so the price isn't the same for any region like the regular flat rate boxes are, but they have a flat rate for each zone instead. For packages weighting less than 20lbs and they aren't tiny boxes either. Check the link out and order some, they are FREE!

3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / A good old fashioned inchie exchange? on: July 17, 2019 08:19:32 PM
Original thread https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=287604.0

Send 5inchies to each of your partners.

Fun thing is you make all your inches ahead of time, so no themes to pick from, artist choice basically!

Details of swap:
ATC on STEROIDS. Lets make jumbo ATCs, 7in x 5in. Same things as ATCs just bigger. For me an ATC take a bit of time, at least two hours usually, so maybe expect to work a bit longer for the jumbo versions that you usually would. There isnt a crafting time frame for this swap but it definitely shouldnt take you less than thirty minutes. ATCs are meant to be little pieces of artwork, so take care to make something interesting and thoughtful. The intention is to have an ATC that is big enough to frame so try to make something that is worth framing!

Jumbo ATCs MUST be 7in x 5in and made on a sturdy base, such as chipboard.
Jumbo ATCs can be made with paper, fabric, drawn, painted, collaged, mixed media, heck even needleworked. All the usual ATC rules, the only thing different is the size.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

Name of swap: Jumbo ATC Swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address including the country

Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country?
Confirm that are at least 16 years old: (YES/NO)
I understand that this is a paper type swap, does not require tracking, and if it is lost i will have to resend?

How many partners would you like? (1,2,3)
Favorite Themes:
Favorite Colors:
Colors/Themes you would not like:
Do you have a preference for the orientation of the atc? (landscape/portrait/no)
Would you mind if the atc made for you was dimensional?
Anything else you would like your partner to know?

Also, remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find other rules about participating in a swap.

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Jumbo ATCs on: May 22, 2019 08:58:26 PM
Basically a swap for big artist trading cards. Like maybe 5"x7" as the standard size? I like making atcs but I prefer working on a bigger area. And I'd prefer getting larger art that I can display on walls without getting half a foot away to see it.

Choose up to three partners? Send on jumbo ATC to each partner.
Choose from themes your partner makes
Paper swap so no tracking #, but must resend if it gets lost.

What do you think? I could probably host in July if there is any interest.

10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Crafting Appreciation Swap on: February 23, 2019 09:37:36 PM
Lets swap stuff that shows our appreciation for crafting. crafted tools/supplies or craft appreciation swag.

like a custom handle crochet hook for your hooker friend, a tee shirt that say something clever about crafting on it, a purse made with fabric that has like measuring tapes on it, um customized handle scissors, sewn tote for paper crafting, earrings made with little sewing machine charms. etc etc.

make sense? what do you think?

not sure i'd want to organize. maybe if there is only a few people interested would.
