1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Halloween Costume on: October 04, 2009 06:59:28 PM
So I'm looking to either combine things I have or make something for a Halloween costume. My dilemma is that I want to look cute and/or sexy for going out with my friends and boyfriend that night but I'm also a teacher in a school for 3rd- high school so I can't go too revealing. I'm willing to put on some pants under a skirt if it ends up being short but I'm looking for help on this one. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance!!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Fingerless Gloves on: August 12, 2009 10:45:58 AM
I made these about 3 years ago and have just started posting on here. I've been lurking for years! I made these for my aunt who works in an office and she's always cold just like me. I made them fingerless so she'll be able to type while wearing them. They're not the best knit since they were still in the first few knitting projects I'd done.

Thats them by themselves, the buttons couldn't match because I never match so it was a bit of my personality in the gloves.

and thats my best friend wearing them. She's a lovely model.

C + C welcome!
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Boyfriend's Quilt on: August 11, 2009 09:23:13 PM
So I finished this in January as the boy's Christmas present (I decided to make him a quilt around October while taking a full course load and a part time job, not the best choice) but I'm finally getting around to showing it off. I know that it's not quilted and some call it a comforter because of it, but I haven't learned how to quilt yet so this is my version of it. Thanks for looking! C + C welcome!

I'm behind it so I could show him the full quilt.

This is the boy holding it up so he could show it off.

Showing Appreciation!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Help Please? on: April 19, 2008 09:25:32 PM
So I have a dilemma. I'm a bigger girl, ranging from a 16-20ish when measurements on a pattern. Now that's not a problem because I'm alright with my shape, and so is my boy but my problem is I can't find a good punkish dress for a summer wedding. His best friend is getting married in august and this will be my first impression. I'm looking for any advice on a pattern for a good dress. I want to show off that i have a good personality and that i'm crafty because they're both big parts of me. http://www.sohos.co.uk/acatalog/punk-dresses.html
I like a lot of those dresses but most of them are a bit to trampy for me to wear if i'm not going to a club. Any help will be welcome and I'll definitely post pictures of what I do make. Thanks!!
