1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Leg Warmers.... giving it a try (pix heavy) on: March 04, 2009 11:30:15 AM
1st Attempt - these were for my daughter:

2nd Attempt - part of the birthday gift for my niece:

This is how they were made:

My daughter wears them to school and everybody loves them.  Her teacher can't help but show her off...
AND... they are way too easy to make.

Thank you for looking!
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Applique Animal Burp Cloth with Mathcing diaper and wipe holder (PIX FAT) on: February 10, 2009 10:12:27 AM
Here is one of many sets....
These were for a friend that was not finding out the gender of their lil' bundle of joy.
This was my first time to applique.  Previously I've had my friend embroider the name...

Here is the diaper and wipe case (inspiration link below)

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My FIRST Stuffed Giraffe on: January 21, 2009 10:15:06 AM
Here is my first attempt at a stuffed animal period.
My daughter was getting attached to a stuffed giraffe and I thought I'd make her one to see if she would attach to that instead (her lovie is now a pink bear, so didn't matter any way).
I've made a total of 2, but do not have pictures of the 2nd one yet.

The one below is just some pattern I found and tweaked.  I saw some I liked and adjusted the pattern, sort of.

She enjoyed it, but, alas, it's in her closed with all the other forgotten toys.

Thank you for looking.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Little Girl Tutu on: January 21, 2009 10:05:31 AM
Pink & Yellow Tutu

I've been wanting to make one of these and finally did.  I had my daughter pick out the colors.  She went for yellow first and then pink.  Good eye for a 16 mo old!

It's just the basic knotting, except I use ribbon (pink) instead of elastic.  You can tie it custom and it'll grow with her. (http://www.gophotography.com/tutu/)

I made the Lg tutu for her and the small for Pinkie Bear.  She thought the bear did not need it and just loves the Sm. one.  I added more to make it fluffier.

She's not to fond of the Lg one yet, but it may be just too big!

I used a total of 10 yrd of tulle for both.

Thank you for looking!
