I made these from suri alpaca merino from plymouth yarns.
(i also found i am allergic to alpaca!)
I think I screwed up on them, hence the yarn hanging down from them still!
Yarn: Suri Alpaca Merino
Needles: Size 7 Straights, Bamboo
Gauge: 5 sts per inch, 6.5" hand size.
these are going to be a xmas present. for someone, dunno who!

(ignore the expression on my face, i'm on meds for pain b/c of my lack of wisdom teeth!

I did this last year, and it worked out spendidly. Instead of not having anything for gifts ready for xmas, I even had about a month to do friend gifts!
Last year, i had just started socks, so I knit socks for my nana, mom, dad, grandpa and cousin. Then a bag for my other cousin, hat for my other grandpa, and knit santa hats ortaments for everyone else.
This year, I've finished my first gift:
(prolly for a cousin or sibling.)
(yes, i know i look out of it, b/c i'm on pain meds for my lack of wisdom teeth)

the pattern is the fingerless mitts from "weekend knitting". I was orginally disappointed with the book, but i now realize the amazing gift giving potential in the book.
(i also conveniently found out i am slightly allergic to alpaca! i can feel that it's soft, but after just taking the above pictures, I started to itch!)

the lining is the same color as the strap.

I used reylonds cotton yarn, i have no idea what the actual name was.

29  Monkeys! in Knitting: Completed Projects by ibunnysavetroy on: June 24, 2007 07:58:30 AM
I finished these .... about a week ago (all the days are running together - summer just started). I actually lost about an ounce of the yarn (I think it got stolen along with my addi turbos), but had barely enough for the anklets!

30  Two pairs of socks! in Knitting: Completed Projects by ibunnysavetroy on: June 13, 2007 02:10:40 PM
I First made these:
(From cotton fine, just regular stripy toe up socks)

For my very tall cousin. Then I had ALOT left over. Tons.

So these are for my friend keri's graduation present:

I had so little yarn left - loook inthe photo, thats ALL that was left!!!
I made the second ones from a modified version of Gentlemen's socks in Railway stitch from Knitting Vintage socks by Nancy bush. (over 60sts instead of 70).
