Well... it's a sweater  Cheesy

I was dragging my feet about taking a pic of it for unknown reasons but  here it is  Tongue Sorry, no action shots with this one... hard to take pics of yourself, alone with no full length mirror...

It's almost a sweater....

I tried it on to gauge how much more I had to do on the sleeve that I'm working on... it actually fits me!!! *happy dance* A little tighter than I'm used to but nothing that I can't handle  Cheesy

So, the next one, I'm going to do more increases so it's just a little bit looser  Grin Live and learn....  Tongue

Oh, I'm beginning to love bamboo DPNs LOL

My progress so far... forgive the messy computer desk  Embarrassed

I'm using Simply Soft Heathers in Deep Plum. I just got done separating the sleeves and started on the body. I'm planning on it being a long sleeve boat neck so... we'll see how it turns out  Shocked

4  Re: Giant Rectangle Granny Square Afghan CAL in Crochetalongs by leppardess on: September 26, 2007 03:05:58 AM
Here's my 'grab bag' rectangle granny so far....

I was going to do 3 rounds of each color but I'm trying to conserve my colors. The blue variegated near the middle is vintage Simply Soft that I bought years ago. I'm also mixing in some Red Heart Soft Yarn as I have a lot of that too.

5  Re: Too Cool - Skull Illusion Scarf in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by leppardess on: September 23, 2007 12:09:51 AM
I agree.... it's easy. I'm not that great at knitting but I just did one pattern repeat this evening...

I didn't follow the chart but the typed instructions and it really was easy Cheesy I'm not sure if I'm going to have enough yarn (of these colors...) to finish it as I just wanted to try it out but now, I'm hooked on illusion knitting  Grin

6  Re: Slipper/Sandal-along? in Crochetalongs by leppardess on: September 22, 2007 10:28:50 PM
Here's my slippers...

I used Bernat Softee Chunky Twists.... I think it was Denim Rag or something like that. I didn't really use a pattern per se, just something that I saw years ago and sort of copied  Shocked Cheesy

7  Re: KAL*Psychedelic Squares Afghan* KAL in Knitalongs by leppardess on: September 07, 2007 12:01:22 AM
Progress pic...

I changed my mind about the Red Heart for the moment and decided to use Simply Soft. I've been looking for a worthy blanket to use my lone, cherished vintage skein of Simply Soft Periwinkle Ocean Ombre. The one on the right is using my cherished vintage yarn.

I really wish they'd bring that colorway back *sigh*

Oh, I'm doing the small squares on size 10 needles  Cheesy

8  Re: do i pay $30 for this at ikea or make it myself?? =) in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by leppardess on: August 14, 2007 06:02:13 AM

i saw this on ikea's website for $30 and i love it... but i think i'd get so much more satisfaction out of it if i made it myself... what does everyone think?
For myself, I'm not sure that I'd get done with a blanket that size any time soon. 1X1 ribbing is a headache and doing a whole blanket in that would stretch my patience a great deal. if it were me, I'd probably buy it. But that's just me... Most of the time, buying something that I could make myself grates on me but under certain circumstances, I'll give in if I'm really in love with whatever it is.
