Thanks everyone :]
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Remote Controlled Cloud Light on: January 10, 2013 09:08:19 PM
This is a project I created for a Digital Art and Installations class, but I gave it to my little brother for Christmas.   The class covered basics of several types of programming, and our projects were meant to be an interactive cross between art and technology.  This was a fun and easy project with really impressive results (if I do say so my self).  The same technology could be applied to many different types of types of projects.  The technology is very easily altered as well, for example, I was considering using a distance sensor or a light sensor.  I had everything on hand, so it cost nothing.

It does several different weather functions, and each color light is also individuality controllable, to create any combination.

Sorry the photos don't really do it justice! Check out the video to see it in action:

Very sweet and simple! I really like them.
If you want to add something, I think i would add a little grape vine twig, just a little curly-q next to the ball. I think that would add a bit of whimsy. Depending on where you are, you could get them yourself in the woods or they sell similar things for flower arrangements.

So simple, but love the result! It has a really cool texture.
Is the cover removable at all or did you sew it around the pillow?

My mom got me one of these yarn organizer things...

Any one else notice the woman in the picture (for the organizer) is working on a granny square afghan... with knitting needles? lol
