1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / I call it "An Rosn Oriste" and a "knitty" calorimetry on: September 14, 2007 04:28:29 PM
This is a bag I made for my mother's 50th Birthday.

I hope she likes it  Undecided

Ok, didn't want to make a whole new post, but here is my calorimetry..I followed the pattern from knitty, as one I had made previously with adjustments, turned out too small Cheesy
I added two buttons(snowflakes) as it was kinda big

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Attaching Plastic Handles on: September 08, 2007 09:21:24 AM

I have almost completed this bag(the beads may not go on) but I am lost as to which way to add the handles..

Anybody got any advice, please?
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / New scarf on: September 05, 2007 11:24:39 AM
This is the first proper scarf I have knit and it's all for me Cheesy I used Icelandic wool, but I tried it out the other day and it's not irritating on my neck.
It's very basic, but I love it

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / the Night Sky Journal on: August 24, 2007 07:57:36 PM
This is a journal I made for a friend. I used the helpful advice here:http://www.daydreamingonpaper.com/0204.html to add the paper.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Seaming Question on: May 17, 2007 07:04:51 AM
hey, I've only been knitting a few months, so I'm not too confident when it comes to finishing yet.
I have just knit my sister a bag(my own design, just simple) but as I knit with straight needles, it needs seeming along the base and one side. I had presumed I would just seam the edges like with gloves and a hat I have made. Now I'm at that point I'm not too sure, I'm thinking it may need more support.

So, my question is, can I seam it normally then machine sew it around. Or is this a big no no

thank you in advance Cheesy
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Felt wristlet? on: December 23, 2006 05:38:05 PM
I made this a few weeks back and just wanted to see what people thought?

Just getting started, so I know the attatchment of the wrist handle, is a bit awkward lol

I hope to be able to get my hands on fabric soon, instead of felt Cheesy
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Journal with beads and Hello Kitty stamps ;) on: December 23, 2006 04:11:01 PM
Ok, so I made my journal with the enormous aid of alisonwonderland's tutorial https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=10347.0. I would still be looking at the paper wondering how to put it together, if it weren't for her help, so thank you Cheesy
I used an old sweater I wore once, for the cover fabric and followed Alisonwonderland's amazing tut and used recycled cardboard from a Dr.Martens shoe box and card from the craft shop for the paper, green and white. I stamped some cute Hello Kitty stamps on all the right pages, as it is a present for a friend.  It is my first attempt, obviously!
I beaded the front cover, at first to cover my wonky machine stitching(oops) but I think it makes it look better Cheesy
The bookmark is a tie from an Indian style top I also never wear!
I love it, I just hope the person it is for does! haha

here is some pics, sorry for the waffling, I tend to overdescribe things. NEVER ask me for directions! lol

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cord Trs Into Shoulder Bag on: December 15, 2006 06:36:40 PM
I hadn't worn these cord trousers in quite some time so I decided to make me a bag Cheesy
I have pretty much just been messing around with felt as Fabric is quite expensive here..Also, I didn't have a pattern just the picture in me head! So, I was kinda flumoxed when it came to stitching in the lining and passing the zipper!! Doh!  The lining is from another old shirt I never wore Cheesy
The front

the back my stitching is very wonky! I am going to sew some extra fabric over to cover it soon..

the lining, it's not actually that pink! just the flash

the top of the strap, where it sits on my shoulder, to cover the seams Cheesy

Thanks for looking Cheesy
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / purple and green felt bag with sequins (lots of pics) on: December 09, 2006 01:44:38 PM
Hey, this bag I made as a Christmas gift for a net buddy of mine. It is all felt and then the sequins. I machined sewed it. I have to say, I was really happy with it, although I still haven't mastered making the base larger yet! I have to practise more(Im a sewing noob)

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Felt Trspuss on: November 13, 2006 12:01:35 PM
I had some felt left over in an odd shape and instead of making a three eared bunny, I went for a 3legged octopus Cheesy, hence the name Trspuss lol

His name is Trs, I was only getting into making stuff, so my sewing skills were very bad! and he was hand sewn too..But I love him Cheesy I made a flat one too and stitched it onto my bag
