31  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Does anyone else do it? on: February 06, 2007 05:33:50 PM
I've been engraving on flat glass and am soon going to get into wood carving. There isn't a board for either of these art forms. Would anyone else be interested in a wood art section? Or are there not many people who enjoy it as much as I do? Would love to know!

32  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / 2 Pair of Boy's Thermal Underwear ?!?! on: December 09, 2006 07:14:02 PM
So I got two packages of a thermal underwear set because I wanted the tops. I didn't really want the bottoms, but I figured, what the hell, I could figure something out and put them to good use. But... I'm having trouble. Any ideas you could lend me? They're a size 12XL in boys and I would like to make something outta them that I could wear.

Would love any suggestions!! Smiley
33  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gifts for teenage boys... ugh. on: November 23, 2006 03:15:10 PM
So, I'm trying really hard to stick to a handmade theme this Christmas and I've already figured out a lot of gifts.... BUT... I'm having trouble thinking of crafty gifts for a couple of teenage boys. They're your typical boys....they love sports, XBOX, rap music, the net, etc. etc.

Any ideas??? Help!!
34  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / stupid question from a stupid new knitter... on: November 10, 2006 03:37:23 PM
So this question may already have been answered, but I had no idea how to word it for the search bar up there.

Here it is:
Can you use different sized needles than the pattern calls for? I mean, I know you CAN, but I imagine it would screw up the gauge... and if it screws up the gauge doesn't it screw up how it would turn out after following all the instructions (except for needle size)? Just wondering! Would love help!!
35  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / How would I.....? on: October 30, 2006 06:00:53 PM
I'm just dying to knit a cute little cropped t-shirt type thing to wear over my tanks (despite the fact winter is coming too damn fast) and I really want something that looks like this:

www.imaybeknittingaranchhouse.com/archives/2005/09/ballet_t-shirt.html

I know it's featured in the book loop-d-loop and I'd love to shell out my dough to buy it, but I'm broke right now, blah blah blah. Anyone willing to help?? Thanks!
