1  "Here's my card..." in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by laneybug on: June 28, 2011 12:57:19 PM
During my first year of college I became friends with a really cool lady. She gave me her number so we could keep in touch. Her number was on a calling card. A calling card? It was such an awesome, retro thing that I just had to take up the tradition. No more writing my number, email address and other contact information on a lousy Post-It. You wanna get a hold of me? Here's my card....

My scanner isn't working appropriately so I had to copy+paste these babies in multiple steps. I really liked doing it that way. And it gave the cards a very kitschy DIY look. Comments welcome and thanks for looking!

2  Paper crane ornaments.... what's a good price?? in Get Product and Website Opinions by laneybug on: September 09, 2008 04:36:13 PM
Hi everyone  Grin

So I've been making these cute little paper crane ornaments for a Christmas craft fair. I'll be renting a table and selling these, along with some other things. They handmade from Japanese rice paper and glazed for sturdiness and durability. I'm only showing you one because because each crane is the same, except for the pattern of the paper/beads.

In your opinion, what is a good price? What would YOU pay for this little critter to hang on your Xmas tree? From what I've heard, they look great hanging in a window, too!  Smiley

Thanks for your advice!!

3  New Save the Date cards! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by laneybug on: January 06, 2008 04:47:42 PM
Well, my scanner is giving me attitude tonight, or it could be that it's new and I have no idea what I'm doing. So, the words are blurry, ugh. *Curses the fact that everyone seems to have flawless pictures but me!!* But, hopefully you get the idea. Our wedding colors are light blue and true red.... so, despite the blurriness, what do you think?

I swear... the words aren't blurry in real life!  Grin

4  Possible wedding colors.... opinions pretty please! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by laneybug on: January 05, 2008 07:25:08 PM
Hi all  Smiley

I'd really like your opinions about the wedding colors I'm thinking of. The light blue in the picture (on the box) is pretty much the color of my dress. I want to add some ribbon to it and I'm stuck on which color. The red or the light green. I like all the colors together, but I'm still stuck. I'd love to know if you think any of these colors work together and which ones work the best. Thank you so much!!

Oh, and my wedding will be held outside in June. So that's why I'm trying to give a more springy feel to my colors as well.

(sorry for the link... still haven't figured out the whole picture hosting with craftster thing!)

5  I've started designing our Save the Date cards.... what do you think so far? in Weddings and Bridal Showers by laneybug on: January 01, 2008 07:58:51 PM
So, I've finally decided the theme. Cherry blossoms. Also, the colors are aqua blue and cherry red. I've started fiddling with some Save the Date cards. What do you think of them so far? I'm thinking of adding in our colors, but I also really like the simplicity of the black and white. Anyway.... here's the link.

6  Cropped T-Shirt in Knitting: Completed Projects by laneybug on: July 24, 2007 03:58:47 PM
I just finished the cropped t-shirt from the book "Loop-d-Loop" early this morning. Really early this morning. About 1 am!  Cheesy I was really eager to get it done since it's my first wearable knit FO other than hats and scarves. Plus, I've had 5 days off from work so I've been a knitting fool... I wanted it done before going back to work (I'm impatient like that.)  Smiley  Here it is....

Sitting on the bench I still need to paint. As you can see it's so freshly done that I haven't even woven in the ends yet! I wish the picture did justice to the color of the yarn. It's a really pretty moss green.

With me wearing it in a pretty pose.

Never mind the funny face! My fiance kept snapping pics mid-pose and I certainly wasn't ready! But, it's a good pic of how it fits. Gives you an idea of the sleeves and boat neck type thing, as well as how cropped it is. I followed the pattern exactly, but next time I make this I'll add a few more rounds as suggested in the pattern for a less cropped look. But, it's summer, it works for now! Grin

Anyway, thanks for looking! I'd post the pattern, but I'm not sure if I can since it's from a book and all that. Is there anything illegal about posting a pattern from someone else's book?? If not, I'd love to post it if anyone is interested!  Smiley
