I received from Kayla (bonbonz101) today!  Grin I got such awesome stuff! Thanks so much, Kayla! You're a sweetie!

Anyway, enough gushing! Time to share the goodies!

And my favorite:

Isn't she great? Let's give her a round of applause!
* butterflie claps wildly

Thanks again!

12  Re: JANUARY ATC GALLERY in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by butterflie on: January 29, 2007 08:06:50 PM
I sent this to Katxena as a thank you:

"Natural Enhancement"

She's just been sooo nice to me, and organized the first swap I ever took part in. Love ya, lady!  Kiss

I'm sorry about your cousin, zombiekilla. I know it's hard for someone who hasn't been there to understand why a woman stays in an abusive relationship. I never understood either until I was in that situation. I ended it, though, because of my children. They didn't need that kind of crap, and they really saved my life. I don't know where I'd be without them, and I hope anyone who is in an abusive relationship finds the kind of strength that they gave me and gets help.

Sorry this post was long.

This isn't my first; I've posted on here before. It is one of my first *few* and I wanted to share.

This is "Two Halves; Same Coin": paper & stickers on cardstock.

Whatcha think?

A new card I did yesterday...

"Who's the Cat?" in newspaper, cardstock, and ink. (I drew the Garfield myself.)

Whatcha think?

I posted these in another thread with some "newbie" questions  Wink and thought I'd add some of my new cards to this one.

Edited: I removed one of the cards previously posted here.

Sun on the Water: acrylic paints

Any advice or (friendly Smiley) criticisms are VERY welcome! I need all the help I can get.

I just got a digital camera for Christmas. I'm not a photographer by any stretch, but I have fun and wanted to share. Comments, criticisms, or questions - all are welcome!

Thanks for looking!

17  Relatively new crafter - need help!! in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by butterflie on: January 12, 2007 11:10:34 AM
I've been watching all the beautiful cards you guys are making. I'm hoping you can give me some advice on how to get started  Huh  and maybe some general directions. I also hope I haven't posted this request in the wrong place and that no one thinks I'm dumb for asking.  Undecided  I'd really like to get into this stuff. Please help, craftsters!! Thanks in advance for being so understanding of my ignorance.  Roll Eyes

Thanks to all the wonderful replies and encouragements, I've finished my first three cards! And without further ado:

This is "Sun on the Water" - Acrylic paints

This is "Sun on the Water II" - lol It's basically the same view with a different medium. It's fabrics, foam, and layers.

This one is "Retribution" and I apologize in advance if it offends anyone. I painted the background first (obviously) and it looked like fire. So I thought, who should be IN the fire? And, well, you see the results. The text reads "Gone but not Forgiven" in case it's blurry.

Edited to add:

"Who's the cat?" Newspaper, ink, and cardstock. I drew Garfield myself...be gentle, I'm not a great draw-er.  Wink Anyway, the text says "Garfield is better (and bigger too)"

If anyone is interested in swapping for one of these in my *very first* ATC swap EVER, just pm me. Thanks for looking and being newbie-tolerant. Any comments/criticisms/advice/questions welcome!!

18  Darth Maul stencil in Stenciling: Completed Projects by butterflie on: December 25, 2006 07:35:33 PM
My brother is a Star Wars fanatic, and I stencilled this shirt for him for Christmas. It's not really crooked. I just got a new camera, and cannot use it yet.  Cheesy

Anyway, the shirt:

I didn't use the typical method; I cut the stencil out of the self-sticking foam sheets you can buy at Wal-Mart. Then I stuck it to the shirt, painted  it in, and then peeled it off. It worked great! Wouldn't recommend it for tiny stuff, but for this it did well.

Any comments or criticisms most welcome!!

Here's a few more I've finished. I like the bear myself...

B is for bear (and bees!):

D is for Dalmation (or dog, whichever):

H is for Hippopotamus:

Trying to do a newt for N....Not working out so well. Smiley

Gee, guys, thanks for all your warm thoughts...If you insist  Cheesy  I'll post some more pictures.

Obviously, this is F for Frog. I wanted to do flamingo, but couldn't find the right pink. Sad  Anyways, I think he turned out okay.

Later guys!
