1  Thanksgiving Mantle in Thanksgiving by nycalison on: November 09, 2011 10:14:17 AM
Like most of us here on craftster, I have limited resources, but I also have a large craft stash Wink I just moved into a house with a fireplace, so I'm taking advantage by decorating it for every season/holiday. This is my Thanksgiving mantle!
I made the banner, framed leaf art that I made with my toddler, filled vases with leaves and pine cones that we collected, and stapled an old thanksgiving shirt onto a canvas Smiley For more pics and a tutorial for the banner, my blog is here: http://www.alisonswonderlandblog.blogspot.com

3  Please help a noob :) (pic inside) in Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions by nycalison on: February 20, 2011 07:18:47 AM
Hello! I am teaching myself how to crochet, so I am completely new. I thought that I finally had it down, but I'm getting nervous. I'm trying to make a bunny from the Amigurumi Two! book. Here is a picture:

See how it's getting all wavy? Is it supposed to do that, or am I doing something wrong? The instructions were
*Sc 1, 2 sc in next sc* repreat six times. I even have a stitch marker in so I don't know what happened. Thanks in advance for any help!

I made these for dinner a few days ago, and they were a hit with my one year old, and 12 year old. I made them mini, and used biscuits as buns, soo good! Thanks for the recipe!

8  My Mother's Bridal Shower *Pic Heavy* in Weddings and Bridal Showers by nycalison on: June 03, 2008 09:51:49 AM
My sister's and I threw my Mother a wedding shower, so I thought I'd share some pics, since we did it ourselves Smiley

We got really lucky-we had it in my sister Carrie's mother-in-law's house. Its way nicer than any of ours Smiley

My sister Liz put these favors together. It's hard to see at this angle, but they are green triangular boxes, with a flower holding it together. She filled them with kisses

You can see them betther here- we had alot of extras

Here you can see the photo luminaries I made. I got the idea from Martha Stewart, of course. If anyone wants a tut, lemme know Smiley

My sister Liz made a towel cake

This is the cake Carrie made. Its a flower pot cake, made with fondant, and she baked and decorated cookies on lollipop sticks and stuck them in

Photos of my mom & her fiancee, my grandmas & grandpa, and her fiancee's parents

A closer pic of the cake

Nom Nom-we did it buffet-style. My boyfriend cooked, he's a chef

for favors, we also had personalized candybars like this

and these cool bean seeds, in painted mini pots, like this. I dont have any pics yet of them Sad

9  Re: Kawaii to cute for only asia to have!! **THE GALLERY** in The Swap Gallery by nycalison on: May 29, 2008 01:36:38 PM
Mightymouse- I got my package today! I love love love everything, I might be addicted to "swapping" now though, lol I can't find my camera, so I borrowed my mother's, so they aren't as clear as I'd like, but here it all is!

First-the package. it was wrapped all pretty-like, I wish I'd thought of that. And it was cool that the box it came in was in german Smiley I don't think I told you, but I'm a  quarter german, my grandma's maiden name is Urigh. Anywho-

The bag that I immediatly put my suff in ^_^

Me loving my hairclips:

Thanks for the letter as well! I meant to put one in your package as well, but never put it into the box, I'll explain it all when you recieve, and thanks again!!
