1  EUROPE / GERMANY / Re: T-Shirt mit eigenem Motiv verzieren on: November 10, 2006 01:22:21 AM

2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: I am SO FRUSTRATED with ETSY! AAK! on: October 27, 2006 08:33:56 AM
I feel the same way with my store and what I notice about all us who are kinda frustrated: we all have jewelry or pendants. There's just so much of that on Etsy.

I also do quite well in person at bazaars or so, but on Etsy I feel like a total looser. It was quite dramatic for me and my poor hubby for the past few weeks (For him because he had to listen to my complaining all the time....I even started crying once...like the typical Like nobody likes me / likes my stuff kinda drama LOL).

But now I'm over the first shock of not selling my stuff like hotcakes there. I didn't even have the energy to do any marketing because I was so frustrated and felt like its all pointless anyways. Now I started to do some promoting though. I'll see how that goes. So, you're not alone with how you feel!

@fearlessfiber: Thats a really cool trick, I love that idea with just collecting email addresses. Thanks for sharing it!!

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: ETSY spin-off question- What have you BOUGHT? on: October 27, 2006 08:20:20 AM
I bought a lot of beads, a purse, houseshoes, earrings and a ring on Etsy so far.
4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: How's Your etsy Shop Doing? on: October 27, 2006 08:18:03 AM
Hi everyone! My Etsy store has been hit with an evil curse. Nothing is selling ever it seems like, only had one 'real' sale, other 2 were just friends. Anyways...

HSG: I just read the last one or two pages here and how you said you hope you'll have everything in the store by monday that you made.

I don't know how much stuff that is, but I made the big mistake as a newby to post about 4 pages of stuff AT ONCE on Etsy. Bad bad bad idea...LOL Now its all burried and I have to list even more to be seen again, but my store is so full already!

I make such mirrors and sell them for $15 usually.

Some for a little more if there's a lot more than paper on it.

I sell those at fairs mainly, nothing on Etsy yet but my Etsy store seems to be cursed in general LOL

9  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: question about people's opinion of button jewelry on: October 26, 2006 02:05:39 PM
I guess this topic is already a little old but heres my opinion anyway:

I totally agree with everyone and also I think 5 $ is not even much, its the perfect prize for something like that. More would be too much but less would make it look cheap and trashy. (I believe charging too little is actually bad for sales).

I make jewelry too and know how quickly some things can be made, but I haven't seen earrings with buttons and if I saw a pair I liked at a craft show I would definately buy if for 5$.

Despite the fact that I make jewelry myself! Just because I know I wouldn't find the exact same buttons anyways, and even if, I'd rather just buy them because I don't like to copy other people's pieces.
