51  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: First time poster, my new bedroom! :) on: May 31, 2007 03:44:25 PM
Such a difference - the after is very tranquil compared to the brightness from before. Feels like a place you can really relax at the end of the day.
52  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: My apartment in New York City! on: May 31, 2007 03:41:22 PM
The bar is a really nice touch. I'm totally curious about the railings though - any idea if they serve(d) a purpose at all, or just decorative?
53  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: "Revamped" apartment dining area on: May 31, 2007 03:39:30 PM
So nice! I always think about putting things on the walls since I'm never supposed to paint in my apartments, but then I get lazy and end up leaving it all blank....

Hopefully seeing all these great ideas will kick my butt into gear!
54  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Applique with Linen purse on: May 31, 2007 03:31:36 PM
The quality of your applique and edges and just putting the whole thing together looks so professional. Plus it's adorable, too! Well done!

The expression on the custard's face is priceless - so happy to hold on to rhubarb! Perfect.

Right away I thought of this as a challenge of sorts for the Craftster folk - to see who can come up with the easiest/sturdiest/most general consumer-friendly bag. Then the ones produced get thrown into circulation, "guerilla-style" and maybe it would stick...

57  UNITED STATES / Massachusetts / Re: Worcester? (Esp. Clark craftsters!) on: December 04, 2006 06:49:32 AM
I live in Boston but am from Central Mass. C.C. Lowell is an art store at 258 Park Ave.

I vaguely remember it being a little more expensive, but it seems closer and could even out in terms of travel costs.

58  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Re: How Did You Find Craftster? / Craftster Sightings! on: October 20, 2006 10:37:49 AM
I check BoingBoing at least once a day, and saw this post (http://www.boingboing.net/2006/10/19/great_bookmod_encycl.html) which led me to this website (http://craftzine.com/), and consequently their "community" page that referenced Craftster!

Once here, I could tell it was the most comprehensive creative site I'd seen, so I signed right up!
59  UNITED STATES / Maine / Re: "Crafty hipsters" in Southern Maine? on: October 19, 2006 11:34:06 AM
This is my first post here. I moved to Maine about two months ago from Boston and am still commuting there for work. I'm a graphic designer by trade and am into a little bit of everything else; painting, collage, metal fabrication, serigraphy, crochet, building little boxes and containers...

It'd be great to meet creative people in the area! I live in Berwick, right next to Somersworth, NH.
