My mushroom pin cushion, and yes I was inspired by Mario Bros. =) I needlefelted it using red and yellow felt roving.

You could buy some felting needles ($1 a piece) and needle felt the wool roving. Here's a nice tutorial to make little felted things.

I've just started making felted flower pins, which are fun, addictive, but a bit time-consuming and I've pricked my fingers a bunch of times.

Or you can wet felt your stuff using this tutorial:

Hope you figure out what you want to do with the wool roving, have fun!

5  my first felted wool flowers! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by leslieduckie on: January 15, 2005 12:30:24 PM
I finally bought the wool roving and felting needles to make some chubby felted flowers. I love them! I got advice from Crafty Ass Chick who gave me this link to felt wool: http://www.mielkesfarm.com/ladybug_dir.htm

Felting is addictive as well as time consuming. The first salmon colored one took me an hour. =P
