1  Bead bracelet in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by vylentviolet on: September 23, 2007 12:26:21 PM
Kind of a tribute to the first scarf I made for myself. It's lost forever now and the yarn I used doesn't exist anymore either. :'[ So I made this bracelet with the same colors.

I am thinking the colors will look better once it has a shiny glaze on it. What do you think?

2  Hoodie Issues **TUTORIAL ADDED- Sewing in sleeves** in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by vylentviolet on: September 13, 2007 11:19:57 PM
I'm attempting my first ever hoodie from this tut https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177602.0 and I am only on the sleeve attachments. It looked fine until I sewed the first sleeve on. I took pics but the pattern on the fabric is so busy that you can't really see what I mean.

Soooo, I drew an illustration... (4.23 hours in MS Paint, btw.)

How should I attach the sleeves to avoid these bulges and dents?! Do I need to trim certain areas?
It's probably hard to understand what I'm talking about but I thought maybe someone has had the same problem.

Ooh! I wanna play too. In case you were wondering, these are all from my portfolio and I'm too lazy to upload watermark-less ones. I hope they're not too enormous for this threads, but if they are, they get shrunk, right?

My beautiful Kitty, RIP :[

4  Re: Secret Craftster swap (Round 3) Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by vylentviolet on: August 16, 2007 05:54:24 PM
I feel bad for taking so long to post this, but my camera finally decided to cooperate this evening.

This is my medium package that I got. :] Okay, so it's not exactly a bat, but it's really cute nonetheless! I love how it's wearing little boots. Cheesy
I also love the necklaces :] Very summer appropriate, I think.
I just realized I didn't get a picture of the hair clip, but it's upstairs in my room and I am too lazy to get it. Cool

Thank ye, secret swapper!  Kiss

6  Re: Star Baby Blanket~Along in Crochetalongs by vylentviolet on: April 23, 2007 07:29:40 PM
Thanks guys :] They're one of my favorite color combinations. I'e already got in mind some more colors I'd like to use for the next one... I'm obsessed :x
This is the other one I'm working on for my sis's baby (got like 3 weeks til he's born, omg). Ravens colors, and I'm gonna do the final row in metalic gold fun fur type stuff.

I was doing the pattern wrong so now the points of the stars are kinda ruffling up and won't lay flat... but I don't think the baby will mind :] I'm gonna try to do the pattern the correct way for the rest of the rows and hope it'll straighten out.

As for the pink/green/black one, I might trim it in metallic silver, what do you guys think? Too tacky? Although tacky pretty much rocks anyway Tongue

Thanks, HumorMe! I actually am going to make a ton of these :] I absolutely love them!
I'm soo happy with this one :] Glad I decided to not use an E hook like the idiot I was with the first one (it looked nice and neat but I was getting nowhere... I had to switch hook sizes eventually). Going with an I hook but I might just switch again after a while :] Here's what I have so far!

Thanks to those of you who simplified the first two or so rows of this pattern... I was completely baffled before. I've had to restart several times, but now that I know what I'm doing, it's looking pretty good.

I have a question though. I am on row 3, and the points of my star aren't laying flat, they're curling up a little. Will it go away as I add more rows? I'm new at crochet so I don't really know what to expect.

Here's how it's looking so far... Believe it or not, it's not blue, it's a really vivid purple that my camera refuses to pick up and I'm too lazy to fix it.  Tongue It's gonna be Ravens colors... For my nephew who is going to be born in May. Let's hope I finish it before then  Wink

After 34,656,546 attempts at teaching myself crochet (I'm a knitter), I finally got it. I looove the Amigurumi Kingdom baby bat and I decided to figure out how to make one for myself.
Heeeere's Wingy!

He's my 2 year anniversary present for my boyfriend (we have a thing about bats). I haven't gotten around to mailing it cuz I'm a bad girlfriend, but I showed him these pics and he's in love with it! I'm making another one to match, that I'll be keeping. ;]

Now I can't stop making amigurumi  Lips sealed Helllllllp.
