Here's a technique that I did last night.

Embossing Powder Resist



  • Paint a card with your background color (yellow in the sample shown).  Let the paint dry then stamp with CLEAR embossing ink and emboss with CLEAR embossing powder.
  • Paint over the embossing and the rest of the card with a contrasting color (red in the sample)
  • Place a card or paper over the card and iron on hot with a bit of pressure until you can see the embossing comming up onto the paper.
  • The embossing powder will come off on the paper you put on top and you will have an area of the bottom color.
  • You can stamp again and repeat the technique with a 3rd color and a different stamp (blue in the sample)
  • You can stamp over the result (faint stamp over the yellow)

The card you use to transfer off the embossing power can make an interesting card too:
