I have a ton of pictures from the parade and a few of friends, but my batteries died in my camera before i got many of random folks. There were some amazing costumes there this year though.

4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / it's so bad, I think I may cry on: August 19, 2008 10:29:33 PM
I've stenciled a few things in the past. Nothing major. Never tried a t-shirt before. I'm having a horrible time! I need help in a bad way. I've also never used freezer paper before. I tried drawing the design and then cutting it out but i don't have a very steady hand with the drawing. So i tried running it thru my printer and it demolished the paper. So I decided I would cut the design out and piece it together on the shirt. *sigh* Now it looks nothing like it should. I'm going to scrap it and start over, but does anyone have any advice for me before I mess up again?
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Pajama pants leg? on: July 14, 2008 12:04:43 PM
umm, turn it into a pillow. Or find some a contrasting fabric for a lining and straps and make a little tote bag. Oo- you could make the little bag and fill it with things he likes for him.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Summer means tank tops and drum corps shows! on: July 10, 2008 10:45:08 PM
I love this! I have a lot of shirts from DCI that are in dire need of a second chance. Carolina Crown is good, but most of my friends marched with Spirit. Very nice sewing job.

I know there has already been a Francesca Lia Block swap, but I know there are plenty of people who missed it and would do a second one.

oh! you are amazing. I just finished reading Dangerous Angels, again and it reminded me so much why I love her work! I've been wanting to make something in reference to her stories and you just inspired me to actually do it. Thank you so much!
