the back says, "I wish I was as good at life as I am at Rockband. Life would be so much EASIER!"

"My sister is a lesbian and I love and support her but sometimes I just wish she'd be with a man again."

14  Mario Bro. Birthday Party for a 3 year old. Help!! in Discussion and Questions by Sweet_Sylvia on: May 13, 2008 09:05:27 PM
Hey! Didn't know if this was the right place to ask or not but...

I am giving my 3 year old little girl a birthday party at the end of June and she wants it mario themed. I have a few ideas on how to cheaply do a theme like that but not much. I know I want to at least make:

-Mushroom Cupcakes
-Pirana plants for prizes
- Yellow star pinata (a super star)

I am also making her invitation, but this is as far as Ive gotten...

This was soooo hard to make because I couldn't find that font and had to use photoshop to make each letter a different layer. Took about 2 hours to make that cause there are some letters not on there. (the G for example was made and not copied)

I am also making her a little shirt with this on it:

cause you know, she gains one year? I felt very witty when I thought that up. hehe.

My daughter's name is Allele. ^_^

Well my question is, Do any of you have any good Ideas on how to Mario up this party? Any Ideas are welcome and appreciated!

15  Pretty little dresses (LOTS O IMAGES) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Sweet_Sylvia on: February 17, 2008 03:38:03 AM
So I saw vegbee's post, https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=227177.0 , the other day and her pin tuck dresses were so darn cute I just had to try and make some like them. Now I don't have a serger so I just borrowed the shape. I am planning on making more soon, We both love them so much!!

This one I made for Valentines day, it only took about 3 hours. Tons of fun to make too! this first one is most true to the color.

little button tab dealie obviously borrowed from vegbee's adorable dresses!

This one I made cause I had so much fun making the first one!

But she didn't want to take a picture >_<

this one is closest to the color, it is a dark purple though.

Hope you all enjoy!

16  Re: 2007 Completed Costumes Scrapbook! (completed project pictures & links go he in Halloween Costumes by Sweet_Sylvia on: November 03, 2007 01:27:16 PM
Me and a bunch of friends of mine decided to go with a theme this year, I hope you all like.

The only costumes I didn't make were Mario's and Bowser's.

I was princess Peach, My hubby was Luigi, my darling daughter was princess Daisy, My sister was Yoshi and one of my very good friends was Toad.

We had a TON of fun that night!

Thank you Mario, but our princess is in another castle.

17  Princess Peach and Princess Daisy, help? in Halloween Costumes by Sweet_Sylvia on: October 14, 2007 06:03:33 AM
Okay, So this year me and a bunch of family and friends are dressing up and having a halloween party. I am being Princess Peach/Toadstool and my daughter wanted to be Daisy, I gave her a choice between a Toadette or Daisy. I am kinda stressed because I don't really know how to go about making the bodice/top of the dress. I have only made one other dress before and it was sleeveless so...

Here is peach:

How would I go about making that top. with the neckline and puffy sleeves?

Here is Daisy:

Same question. Daisy is for a 2 year old, so it will be easier I think.

Also, how would I go about making those bumps on the hips of the skirt. I have no clue how to do that but all princesses seem to have them.
Thank you all soooo much!

19  Soo Help me, please. I pretty much have 2 days to make a dress... in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Sweet_Sylvia on: May 16, 2007 10:20:21 PM

So I am sitting here at my computer and I go to talk to my friend who runs an awesome Harry Potter Role Play Website (go here http://hogwartstherealrevolution.avidgamers.com/) She is Amazing! The site was shut down a year ago and she finally got enough money to start it again. Shes a Senior in High school and pays for it herself.

Well she gets home today and I ask her how her day was, she replied "Crappy, My dad forgot me at school and now I can't get a dress for prom on Saturday." to that I say, "Aww If I lived closer to you I would make you one." Then I think hmmm Saturday eh? If I sent it to her priority mail, I could probebly make her a simple dress. so I said "Sure I'll make you a dress for your prom"

Her mom agreed to drive the 1 hour and 40 minuets to pick the dress up from my house, so I start tomarrow at 8am (pacific time). This is what we decided on making.

This is the dress is P&P but purple and red.

Other angles.

The back wont have as much detail, but if anyone can help me as to how I should go about making this/wish me luck/pray for my soul, anything would be wonderful. I know it will be hard work, but this girl totally deserves it!
