Cheesy Awesome! And SarahsALoser, if you want to organize, that'd be fantastic! Grin

LOL, sirensrising! Tongue

Burntmuffin, sure you can! I'm in Canada too, and I plan to be a part of it, so why not? Cheesy If we can't get enough interest, we could expand to include a few other less-known-but-awesome animes. Ooooh, what episode are you on now? Grin

5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Death Note Swap? on: July 29, 2007 01:30:31 PM
I've been so obsessed with Death Note lately, it's ridiculous. Grin I finished the anime series a few weeks ago, and I watched both movies. In a row. Then re-watched them the next day. I swear my Death Note art/fanfic/wallpaper/avatar collection size exceeds my music folder, which is saying something. (Of course, there's the Death Note music too, and the fonts and... you get the idea. Tongue )

Soooo, I thought, why not combine two of my obsessions? (Well, three if you count the 'net... Tongue four including L, he's a separate obsession >.> xD) Craftster + Death Note = Amazingly Awesome Death Note swap?

I know there are some Death Note fans here... We'd need an organizer. If there's enough interest, sign-ups in mid August... maybe closing on August 31st because that's when the director's special comes out? (Or not, my weird ideas again. Grin Tongue ) We could craft everything from apparel to Death Notes of our own, stationery sets, the sky's the limit!

If you'd be at all interested in the swap, please please please post and get all your DN-loving friends here too! Grin

Aweome! Cheesy I am obsessed with Death Note (-cough-especiallyL-cough), now I have to overcome my fear of the sewing machine and make one like this! Thanks so much for sharing, I <3 it!

Edit because I just noticed your freakin' amazing avatar. I laughed out loud! Grin

Oh. My. Lord.

That is amazing. L is my favourite character I have ever met in any TV, movie, manga, anime, etc series. <333

That is awesome, fantastic job!
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Cracked Marbles! on: July 13, 2007 08:21:57 AM
I'm glad I could help inspire you, CapturingLife! Cheesy
Thank you!

Heehee, I'm afraid I'm not in the "marble generation", but my mother said the same thing! Cheesy

Just one little warning -- they hold up well to normal use and wear, but if you crack them sharply against a counter or bang two together, sometimes one or the other will crumble into glass shards, you may want to warn your son about this, I found out the hard way! Smiley (Note: Testing the resilience of the marbles while sitting on my bed was among the stupidest crafting-related things I've ever done. Roll Eyes lol.)
9  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Re: Petite Power! on: July 12, 2007 11:02:35 AM

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Luna/Evanna's Beaded Radish Earrings on: July 09, 2007 01:18:25 PM
AHA! I was reading it and I figured it out! I think that it means, fold it along the top-bottom axis, like rolling it into a cylinder, so that it's round! I hope that helps. Cheesy

ETA: That's why she left the left and right sides so flat -- fold along the top-bottom axis (so bring the left and right sides together) and stitch, and voila!
