1  Green Lantern Hoodie in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by onehtl1ama on: July 19, 2011 04:57:38 PM
So this just may be the coolest thing I've ever made. And now I have to give it to my guy for his birthday. ...sigh.

Followed https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=100217.0 for basic hoodie making tips. I didn't draw out a pattern or anything, just kinda made it up as I went. There are a few mistakes, but I am pleased overall with how it turned out.

excuse the iphoto quality, i couldn't find my camera.

2  second star to the right in Halloween Costumes by onehtl1ama on: November 01, 2008 02:26:17 PM
This is the first contest i've entered and i'm excited Smiley

I made everything that my costume includes except the tinkerbell and the dagger.

So here it is, my childhood dream completed! For halloween this year i was Peter Pan.
(sorry there are no "making of" pictures, it involved a lot of sewing of leaves...pretty bland)

Peter Pan pose.

landing in a window  Cheesy

close up of Tink

flying around, doing Pan like things

let me know what you think. Happy Halloween!

3  Re: Make me a new friend in The Swap Gallery by onehtl1ama on: September 15, 2008 12:01:46 PM
So i sent Battina her friend last week and she recieved, so i thought i would post a few pictures i took with him before he left for her house.

I was kinda dumb though and forgot to save his bio on my computer, so i took a picture of his bio and hopefully that is readable.

This is Lester:

he is known for his love of hugging:

here is his bio:

he bolded the most important things about him, such as his love for quesadillas
hopefully battina will have some more pictures to post of him!

So i received yesturday and goodness me i am in love!
i wanted something to snuggle with because when i signed up for the swap i thought my harry bear (the teddy bear i've had since i can remember) was lost forever. well thankfully my harry bear was recovered and now he has a wonderful friend vee to keep him company huzzah!

picture time:

Vee arrived in her space ship all safe and sound.

finding her new home on my bed quite comfy

look at how long her arms are! quite excellent for snuggle times

her butt is detachable. a cute feature  Cheesy

making friends with harry bear. (she got hungry while they were hugging and started munching on her hand and harry started giggling)

so a bit of background about her:
Vee is from the planet warble. one day she was searching through space to find star shakes which are particularly yummy. her space ship broke and she plummeted to earth to land in Battina's ivy plants. She stayed with Battina for awhile, but her son kept trying to eat Vee's eyes  Sad for her immediate safety she was sent down here. she is 265,000 years old but plans to live many more lifetimes. her favorite color is blue (which is mine as well!) she's a gemini and she is allergic to stoves, corn muffins, and acorns. they don't have legs on planet warble so they have to hop around! adorable.

thank you so much battina! Vee is amazing!!

6  Fix Runny Paint in Stenciling: Discussion and Questions by onehtl1ama on: April 10, 2008 09:32:41 PM
So i'm really upset because i worked over 5 hours on this shirt and although 3.5 out of 5 of my dinos turned out great (the pterodactyl is kinda messed up, but i can get over it) but my poor triceratops decided to be a runny mess. To make the problem worse, it's in bright yellow in the middle of this shirt! I guess i mixed the Textile medium differently then usual (i might have been getting tired because the triceratops was the last dino i did...)

I was just wondering if any of you know a way to fix this, I have not heat set the pterodactyl or the triceratops yet, so would soaking it in some type of soapy water solution get the excess paint to disappear?  i was so excited about this shirt, it would be a shame to never wear it because of a runny mess of a triceratops.
