Very nice-great job! It looks a lot like Doodle Stitching.

Thank you. Smiley
You know, I keep meaning to check that out. I think I'll like it.

I came up with this cute little design after seeing a cute little bird on a kid's shirt.

I used variegated yellow thread, you can't see it too well in the photo but it's light enough that it gives a very soft effect to it.

26  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / The wise apron? on: July 08, 2010 09:53:15 AM
I friend of mine is getting married and I wanted to make her a couple of things for wedding gifts. She had mentioned once that she wanted a cute apron.

I wanted a contrasting fabric as the pockets.

The first time I have put a ruffle on an apron.

This is an in progress pic.

What did I learn while making this? I learned that I hate ruffles.

It took me about a day altogether to complete this. The ruffle is what took the longest. But I'm very happy with how it came out.  Grin

Thank you for the compliments.  Grin
I am very happy to say that I washed it like a normal shirt and it came out fine. Nothing came undone or loose.

The first time that I ever laid eyes on this Jenny Hart design, I HAD to stitch it!

It has an array of stitches that give it a very interesting look. Not so boring as one that only has one kind of stitch.

I found an old v neck tee in my closet and it fit beautifully from the should to the chest.
