11  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: light n lively tank on: August 30, 2007 01:16:51 PM
Gaaaah.  I started on mine about a week and a half ago.  I've got the entire top finished and am about 1/3 of the way thruoght the bottom part but it's all twisted weird and looks funky.  I think I miscalulated a few stitches towards the beginning so it's just making the whole thing look weird.  iI'm gonna have to frog the bottom part and start over again.

*cry*   Sad

I love it!  It's beautiful! Smiley
13  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Re: ugly sew along! on: August 27, 2007 07:08:46 AM
There were a lot of pieces to the pattern, but it was written up very well and really easy to follow.  Of course, I consider any pattern that doesn't involve a zipper to be "easy" hehe.
14  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Probably the FATTEST Fat Bottom Bag you've ever seen!! on: August 27, 2007 07:01:01 AM
I started working on my super fat FBB yesterday.  I'm so excited.  Need to buy some more yarn, though. Smiley

Mimsy, I do believe I love you.  Your ideas are great!  Do you think brown ric-rac for trim would be overkill?  I have another dress I need help with...as soon as I get a pic I'll post it so you can give me some more good ideas. Smiley

I absolutely love everything about this bag.  I'm definitely going to make a huge one like this....as soon as I finish my cupcake. Tongue

Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to go with a dark brown sash for a belt.  And I went to Joanns today to look at new buttons, but didn't get any because I couldn't remember what size I needed. Tongue

Anyhoo, I think I'm either going to do dark brown wooden buttons or dark brown leather buttons.  I definitely want to keep the overall look vintagey.

Thanks y'all!  I've definitely been inspired to give some other ugly fabrics a chance at being cool.  This will definitely be a sewalong that I'll keep coming back to with more completed projects.

That yarn looks so soft!  Use 4 strands to do a flat braid.  Like this: http://www.freecraftunlimited.com/braided-lanyard.html
20  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Post your meatloaf recipes! on: August 16, 2007 10:07:33 PM
We always used ground beef, bread, ketchup, eggs, and mixed that up and put ketchup mixed with brown sugar on top.

So...what are potato snowballs, FASHION_freak?

Yes!  Exactly how I make mine.  Meatloaf is not meatloaf without the tastey ketchup/brown sugar mixture baked on top. Mmmmmmm.
