72  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crochet confusion on: October 17, 2006 10:24:59 AM
I'm trying to make my first amigurumi, and I'm having some problems with the pattern  Undecided .

Here's what it says:

HEAD/BODY: Beg at center top of Head, with gray, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Do NOT join but cont. to work in a spiral, marking beg of each rnd and moving marker as work progresses.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc, around. ( 12 sc ).
Rnd 3: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc * rep from * around. ( 18 sc ).
Rnd 4: * Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc * rep from * around. ( 24 sc ).
Rnd 5: Sc in each sc around.

Ok, so I'm good up until Rnd 3. It's the little * that I don't understand, does that mean to place a marker there and work (this number) of sc from it? and I can't tell if it means to work 1 sc in each sc from the *, or 2 sc in each?

I'm so glad I found craftster, because I know that some wiser and probably gorgeous wonderful hooker will be able to help me figure this out!  Wink

haha carry a spray bottle with a fan on it, you should be able to get it cheap since summers over.

oh, it would be awesome if you could get those contact lens that make your eyes solid white!

I used shoe polish to put white streaks in my hair before, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to wash out if you put it in your whole head.
79  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Dreadlocks on: October 05, 2006 03:53:50 PM
what would be the smallest "size" dreads possible? I've been fascinated by them for ages now, but I have very thin hair and would want thinner dreads so that I could have more of them... and I also have bangs that are only a few inches long, could they be dreaded too?
