Ooh - neat!  It's a great bag and tutorial.  You've done a really good job.

I like it.  It's pretty, simple and delicate.  The colour also suits you.

Does it just tie at the back?

So pretty!  Very professionally finished, too.  Great work!

What a great yarn!  It looks like a great fit, too.  Nice work!
25  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: DIY Eyeshadow Primer!!!! on: May 29, 2010 01:39:15 AM
I know this is a silly question, but do you whack a bit of this on so your powdered eyeshadow stays in place?  I don't know much about make-up tricks.  Undecided

Wow - it's gorgeous!  The next time I delude myself into believing I have the patience for an adult-sized garment I'll use this!
27  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Red ribbon rosette on: April 20, 2010 12:55:16 AM
I'm going to my cousin-in-law's wedding on Saturday and I've decided I'll wear my dark silver fringe dress and some awesome op-shopped red heels.  The problem is, I'm terrible at doing cool hairdos.  So yesterday (when I was off work sick) I created this ribbon headband so I can get away with just doing a normal ponytail.

Somewhat fuzzy close-up showing details:

I'm normally a little bit OCD about things being neat and perfect but I kind of like the organic nature of the 'petals', the way they aren't perfectly spread and arranged.

Comments and thoughts welcomed!

Beautiful!  It looks cosy and versatile.

What is its structure?  Is it just a flat piece of fabric artfully wrapped and pinned or is there more to it?
29  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Newbie question: Is felt the only fabric I can needle felt on? on: March 19, 2010 10:46:42 PM
Jenku, I was going to ask pretty much the same question!  I have a linen skirt I am thinking about dressing up and I had heard you can felt any natural fibre but was going to confirm.  I hope you have made good use of this new knowledge!

Very pretty!  I agree that a bead or even some sort of button would look good in the centre.  I also agree that they look very versatile - I could see them as necklaces, brooches, headbands and hairpins!  You could even make small ones as rings or earrings.  Nice work!
