1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Still Trying To Tie The Knot! on: February 27, 2006 08:09:00 AM
I'm guessing this is an evening affair since you said mock martinis. I really like that idea. Can you get them to match? Well I know you can, so you should do this.

Food...Well I'm planning an April wedding and like you we're short on cash. And where I want my reception is pretty much our budget. I REALLY want this place. Anyhow...we're going no more then 7 bucks/head for a picnic type theme by Farm Fresh. They actually have good prices and decent food. Any of those in the area? Um to also save money we're thinking of doing a brunch. The earlier the meal, the cheaper it gets! LOL.

Otherwise sounds like deli platters and cheese plates are the way to go.

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: birthday gift for theatre/band geek boyfriend on: May 22, 2005 11:30:07 AM
I would probably do a theme that went with his favorite show. Build off of that, making a shirt, keychain, something he can use everyday like a decorated coffee cup or something.

Good Luck!

I don't knit but I do know that you have a crochet hook and not a knitting needle.LOL

Also the best way to learn is from a human but have you tried www.stitchguide.com? They have lil movies. And I learned both from a book-it can be done. Don't give up!
