32  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 20 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by jamiewatchthestars on: March 16, 2007 08:10:49 PM
“I claim defunctbuffalo for the hip belt, beads and trinkets, cardstock in pale colors, AND maybe the sweater vest.  This is my first claim.   I am a 15 year old girl and I live in Pennsylvania USA.  I like learning and reading and dresses and antiques.  I work in a fabric store.

I would prefer not to recieve any clothing made of wool.  Wool bags are fine.  Also, nothing with checkerprint (gingham is fine), black and white stripes, hello kitty, or polka dots.

Things I WOULD like:

-a tee shirt inspired by team ice cream (ladies S/kids L)
-crochet necklace from anthropologie (see wists)
-a kit teaching me to do resin crafts
-stitchmarkers for crochet (something cute!)
-russian nesting dolls (any type/style)
-any 1930s style fabrics (any yardage!)
-freezer paper
-craft supplies related to birds

-1 set bookends (my room is plum, red, and pea soup green, with black wood (please coordinate))
-notions (any/all!)

you can look at my wists for ideas too.
(this is my first swap..im so excited!)

33  help with camera case? in Discussion and Questions by jamiewatchthestars on: March 11, 2007 06:54:28 PM
UPDATE:  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=158255.msg1585962#msg1585962

i just purchased this camera and i wanted to make a case for it.

does anybody have any good tutorials or links to someplace with a pattern?
or just an idea without a pattern?

it needs to be a little padded, just incase i drop it.
it doesnt need to be able to survive an atom bomb or anything though.

34  1950s handyman book in Vintage Craft Projects by jamiewatchthestars on: March 10, 2007 03:04:15 PM
this is probably my favorite thrift store find.  the pictures are so what you would expect from a book from this era.  gives basic clear advice on all kinds of handy basic "garage skills."

i paid $1 for it.

36  apron to skirt reconstruction in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by jamiewatchthestars on: February 24, 2007 08:53:10 PM
i bought this apron for $3.00 at this great thrift store near my house...

and i made it into a skirt. (im obviously the one in the skirt)

fabric close up (you can get the full idea here as far as color goes)...

the skirt is a wrap skirt, so this is what it looks like when you take it off.

this is the first thing i have sewn without a pattern that actually fits.  i hate using patterns.

also there are some less good quality pictures in the next post, thanks wookiedough.

37  Re: Disco/Rave/Club-ish party. in Party Planning by jamiewatchthestars on: February 24, 2007 07:15:17 AM
lol a strobe light?

i went to a club this summer and basically all they do is serve red bull and cocktails and dance.

they had one of those light up color cubed floors too.

and like weird cages on the ceiling.  i am pretty sure you dont have the budget to make that in your house though, but i bet you could get a strobe light.
