1  Re: when robot met muffin in Knitting: Completed Projects by livilovesolives on: April 26, 2006 11:10:58 AM
That is insanely cute.

I made one too, but I'm afraid mine isn't nearly as cool.

This is Kilroy.

His heart is human, his blood is boiling, his brain: Polyfill.

2  Re: 2005 Completed Costumes Scrapbook (completed projects with pictures go here) in Halloween Costumes by livilovesolives on: April 13, 2006 08:14:58 PM
I was Wonder Woman..

I stenciled the shirt, made the skirt, tiara, golden lasso, and bracelets, and I put electrical tape on red soccer socks.

My friend was a dead... something. She came over to my house with just the red dress on, so I slapped on some insane fake eyelashes and blood.

Yay! I'm glad you liked it bkrenning! I got your package about the time I sent mine (oops  Embarrassed) and I pretty much almost died when I got it. Died in a good way.

Package included:

an awesome silver chain maile-esque purse
a fabulous vintage pink lacey purse (I've already used both of these!)
a cute little blue purse/jewelry box
wicked cool fake pearls - they look like something straight from a b&w movie
two awesome-in-a-strange-way pendants
a polaroid i-zone camera
A KODAK INSTAMATIC X-35!!!! *this is where I died of sheer joy*

My can't-compare-to-an-Instamatic-digital camera is extremely low on batteries, so I will post one gigantic picture with everything it in!

(click for the gigantic size)

Okay, one of the Instamatic

4  AllAmericanReject's HAN SOLO STENCIL!! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by livilovesolives on: May 20, 2005 08:50:41 PM
First of all I have to give the credit for this stencil entirely to AllAmericanReject - she is amazingly talented in the area of stencil-making, and has great taste in movies! (I hope you don't mind me posting your stencil - I just thought it was so awesome!)

Okay, I can take a little of the credit for having to deal with all those islands. But direct all your complements to her! (meaning post here but say "omg that's awesome" to her, not me)

I just whipped this up to wear to a party tonight, so it's a little (okay, a lot) off center.
Sooo.. awesome!

5  Unfinished Felt MONSTER - Help me decide! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by livilovesolives on: May 18, 2005 09:00:57 PM
I need help choosing eyes for my little monster (and a name would be nice). He is for my friend's birthday friday and I'm not sure if I should go with:

Option A: (no pupils)

Option B: (little black felt pupils)

or Option C: (googly eyes!)

If you could vote for your favorite I would probably have to think that you are pretty awesome.

Ignore the dopey "Look Ma, I'm a fawn!" look on my face and the messy closet...

and you've got my very first Minisweater!!

I'm so proud.

7  Re: arm warmers in Knitalongs by livilovesolives on: December 17, 2004 09:23:27 AM
Hey! I've decided to get back on the arm warmer wagon; I've even started my pink muffatees again! But I'm spending most of my time on these instant-gratifacation arm warmers for my best friend for christmas..

Please excuse my extremely pale.. um... inner elbow.

I'm over half done with the other one... this is why I love the holidays.

8  Re: Projects from Weekend Knitting by Melanie Falick in Knitting: Completed Projects by livilovesolives on: December 15, 2004 10:52:40 AM
I made the gloves (with slight alterations) for my mom as a christmas present, and I totally agree that the directions were wayyyy too wordy. But I love LOVE love how they turned out.. I am so making some for myself next.

I decided to do the same thing, but I added blinky, pinky, inkey, and clyde.
Here they are pinned on my purse, looking for little dots to eat.

10  Re: Everyone knit a few rows on my scarf! (SIGN UP CLOSED) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by livilovesolives on: November 01, 2004 10:56:03 AM
Oh wow... I haven't looked at this thread in a looooong time and the scarves
 are looking amazing!!

So.. I figured I'd post a picture of the last scarf I worked on!

It's hard to see in the photo, but all the squares have such a cool texture!
